I just can't see anyone with a form like that being a consistent shooter. It's the Ben Simmons issue, and I saw it with Josh Hart as well when he was reluctant to shoot. In a playoff series against good teams, they will treat Sochan like he's a center. He's in the dunkers spot like Ben/Josh and that just gives the opposing center someone to defend, when they're really just defending space and closing off driving lanes.

Continuing with the BS theme, Sochan's 'improved/reformed' form was smooth and clicking in off-season social media clips.

Then you get into game action and for some reason the mighty hitch from 3 returns. It's a tough mental hurdle+body memory to overcome. Either he will or won't at this point. His next contract depends on it, for incentive.

I'm not a fan of 3/4 sized players that can't shoot, especially now with teams running zone or just parking their center on that player. The Knicks had the same problem last year, our offense was going off in the first 2 months, then Hart's shot vanished and teams started defending him with a C and a big wing on KAT. The C just helped off Hart, his shot came back, but teams still stuck with it.

Fox/Harper/Castle aren't great shooters, so I don't see a world in which a guy with that form can be relied on to shoot on volume.

This has nothing to do with anything, but for those of y'all who like to cook, try making crispy tacos by folding the protein in heated corn tortillas, pinning them shut with toothpicks, and deep-frying them. Fry them until they're crispy but still bendable, drain them and take out the picks, and put in the vegetables/cheese/taco sauce. That's true dorado style and it's the best. It's not healthy, but it's a hell of a treat for cheat day or whatever.

Oh, dorado as in golden :D, thank you for sharing, my friend, what peppers do you recommend adding to tacos?

I love a mix of stewed dark-meat chicken (cooked in lard) with poblanos and white onions. I fry the tacos dorado style, then stuff them with shredded lettuce, white and yellow cheese, Mexican crema agria, and then I like to top each one with a whole cherry tomato-- and plenty of taco sauce, of course (I use red sauce, even on chicken). It's simple comfort food that reminds me of the excellent hundred-year-old Mexican dining room downtown where we used to get our special dinner every Friday night when I was a kid.

Carnitas make excellent dorado-style tacos, also.

One of the easiest versatile Mexican dishes IMO (especially for beginners) is chicken tinga. It's fairly simple to make, but it tastes like something that is more complex and would take far longer to make than it actually does. Great on tacos, tostada, or just with tortilla chips.

Sure I get it, and the longer his career goes the narrower his role without a reliable shot that keeps defenses honest. It's a prove-it year on the O end.

Also, you can’t tell me Duren can’t shoot. We just don’t let him.

He’s now 47/55 (!!!) from the line this year. That’s like 85%. Ausar dreams of that kind of touch and we let him shoot. Makes no sense.
