I just can't see anyone with a form like that being a consistent shooter. It's the Ben Simmons issue, and I saw it with Josh Hart as well when he was reluctant to shoot. In a playoff series against good teams, they will treat Sochan like he's a center. He's in the dunkers spot like Ben/Josh and that just gives the opposing center someone to defend, when they're really just defending space and closing off driving lanes.
Continuing with the BS theme, Sochan's 'improved/reformed' form was smooth and clicking in off-season social media clips.
Then you get into game action and for some reason the mighty hitch from 3 returns. It's a tough mental hurdle+body memory to overcome. Either he will or won't at this point. His next contract depends on it, for incentive.
I'm not a fan of 3/4 sized players that can't shoot, especially now with teams running zone or just parking their center on that player. The Knicks had the same problem last year, our offense was going off in the first 2 months, then Hart's shot vanished and teams started defending him with a C and a big wing on KAT. The C just helped off Hart, his shot came back, but teams still stuck with it.
Fox/Harper/Castle aren't great shooters, so I don't see a world in which a guy with that form can be relied on to shoot on volume.
