Re: Wednesday 11/12 NBA Game Thread
Lebron's absence is sorely noted for this Lakers team tonight that are currently overwhelmed on both sides of the floor.
You'll never convince me the Lakers are better without Lebron, whilst they have improved significantly, have has a very easy/soft schedule so far.

Don't see how Presti can let him go without a replacement (and no Sorber doesn't count). Joe and Dort might be gone before they let him go. They need Hart for defense/rebounding in the playoffs.

Pathetic. Sit the starters for the remainder of the game and send a message JJ.

Yeah, it's a good problem to have but I'm curious how Presti handles it.

I don’t think anybody really needed tonight’s game to know this is true. And further, Denver has a much smaller margin for error in that series.
Until (unless? Mitchell pick and all that) the cap rules start to impact this OKC roster, it’s probably going to take untimely injuries to stop them.
There hasn’t been a roster this much deeper than the rest of the league since when? The dawn of free agency? The 50’s-60’s Celtics?

I finally figured out Marcus Smart's role with the Lakers. He is actually a Celtics double agent, sent to destroy the Lakers from within

So the warriors are done showcasing kuminga? Maybe they hoped they can win and help him put up numbers,. Now they are back at prioritizing winning hopefully. Also they should have traded Hield in the summer. I have a suspicion the veterans were talking about him lately in the press conferences

I mean they are really good but them smashing the Lakers doesn't really mean anything.

I don't know, the beautiful game 2014 Spurs were pretty deep with talent. As were the 2019 Raptors.

This OKC team, stacked with elite defensive guards, is tailor made to neutralize heliocentric alpha wings like Luka and Edwards.

Harden, SGA, Brunson, they all do it and the refs keeps rewarding them.

No need to break records though. That could easily end up as a 175 to 39 final score
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.
