Just like if, and that's a big if, the NBA has any shred of credibility yet; Ginobili won't be in the hall of fame.
It's the Basketball Hall of Fame, not the NBA Hall of Fame. Manu has been a star and/or champion at every level of competition that he has played in. He will likely be voted in the first year that he is eligible.
Note: I'm not a Manu or a Spurs fan.

No, those were the right stats, about David, 6.6 rpg and 1.35 bpg. He was just a role player at that point.

O ok I see it now. You're right I didn't realize how much garbage was on that team. I don't know if you can call David "just" a role player on that team though. The 6.6 and 1.35 doesn't sound that impressive but when you see that he only played 23.4 mpg, that is pretty solid. His per 40 minute averages were 11.3 rpg and 2.3 bpg, so his production when he was on the court wasn't slipping much but his playing time was. That means that at the end of games when the game was close the Spurs could play Robinson and Duncan together and make it virtually impossible for the other team to get into the lane or get an offensive rebound. Pretty sweet role player.

Agreed. Manu is a first ballot for the basketball hall of fame. Much in the same way that Laettner will/did make it for college and Olympic accolades, despite having a lackluster pro career. Manu's international accomplishments make him a lock for the HoF. For my money, if it was the NBA hall of fame he wouldn't be in mine.

you are fooling yourself if you think manu wont be in the hall of fame.
Actually I know he will be in the HoF because as someone already said, it is the "Basketball Hall of Fame" not the NBA hall of fame. It's just my opinion though that he shouldn't be in the HoF and why I believe the NBA should have their own HoF rather than just going with the "Basketball Hall of Fame."

This isn't about who would fit better on the spurs.. This is about who's the better player.. And to say Manu is better than AI is a pretty ridiculous statement when you take everything they've done into consideration.. As i've said before, would Manu on the Sixers in the place of AI be able to lead them as far ? Anyone who seriously believes so, is in serious denial on just how good AI really is.. I'm done with this conversation

Actually the denial comes because they think manu can carry a load on offense like AI can for 40+ minutes, instead of coming in for 28 minutes.

Are the words 'overrated' and 'underrated' so massively overused by dopes that very few of the remaining people are apt to convey their definition, thereby disqualifying their participation in a poll such as this?
Yes 100% [1]
No 0% [0]
The Spurs go as Manu goes. That makes him a very good and very important player. Underrated/overrated; such malarkey.
