First of all, I respect the hell out of all of those guys, and I worked there when we drafted them. I acknowledged how good they were before I brought up my point— that the 2nd best player on those pre-KD title teams was not as good as the VAST majority of 2nd best players on other title teams. You still haven’t refuted that, because you CAN’T.

He missed the last 1/3 of the season and actually had the Lakers as a top-8, high as #4 seed, in the West. With Ingram out as well that team took a quick nosedive. With both of them healthy, I think the Lakers may have gotten to the second round at best, so it actually worked out for the better in the end.
