I am a die hard Mavs fan but how they behave now makes me sick. You can think of Mark Cuban what ever you want and we screamed about him a lot but his would never had happened under him

Mark Cuban hired Nico Harrison, the GM that just made the worst trade in NBA history. Trading a top three talent in his prime without even shopping him was inexcusable.

Cuban hired him but Cuban had the final say on everything. Now Nico's just doing whatever he wants and talking the owners into it so they can believe the rubbish Nico's speaking. Its sad all the way around.

A deal was made between the League and the Adelsons/Nico.

They want Luka on the Lakers and they want Lebron’s last two years to be played in a team that’s contending. That’s all there is to it.

Do the Adelsons care about the fans? They don’t really have to.

Luka to the Lakers increases the valuation of the NBA’s upcoming TV deal and since TV revenue is shared equally, from the Adelson’s perspective it doesn’t matter if Luka is here or not.

Only matters that Luka is at the most profitable destination. Notice how no other GM is complaining even tho this was basically a bank robbery.

Like if two players in your mf fantasy league did a trade as lopsided as this, there would be hell to pay. But no fallout here? LMFAO sure.

Worst part is I believe they knew AD was done for the season before the trade. Why else would they waive a medical????

This is pure **** conspiracy theory time, but there might be a chance AD was loaded up on painkillers for one game, and it was predecided he’ll fake an injury around Q3 and walk off.

Just look at how they reported on his injury, Shams on day 1 said it’s a small injury no concern for the mavs.

Next they came out he might be out indefinitely. Next it changed to 4 weeks. Now they’re saying if AD elects to get a surgery his season is done.

Like come the **** on. This clearly is orchestrated expectation management by everyone in the media.

Worst part is all the astroturfing accounts that are going around on social media claiming AD is a win now trade.

LMFAO. No team with AD or Kyrie as first option is going past round 2.

AD couldn’t even take NOLA to the playoffs who in their right **** mind thinks he can be option 1 for a championship winning team

League and Adam Stern made this call. Everything else is window dressing

Good for Dirk. That's a huge middle finger to the Adelsons. That little, fat gremlin is going to go remove Dirk's statue, Saddam style, after this.

Honestly if Dirk doesn’t think they will, he is miss reading the room- they have already done the unthinkable- removing that statue and banning Dirk from the arena wouldn’t even register as a 1 on a ten point scale after trading Luka

The Lakers guard is pretty good- it’s not corruption when the owner comes out and says he doesn’t like Luka’s work ethic and then proves he doesn’t watch ball by using Shaq as a model of fitness he is looking for-

Maybe the litmus for owning a team shouldn’t just be a ton of money….

Thank You.

What a complete and utter moron. Horrific.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to be a fan of a team with this FO/Ownership

Luka is a throwback which makes what he does in post season basketball EVEN MORE LEGENDARY.

STUPID Mavericks would have BENEFITED from Luka having this extra rest during the regular season. Played in the finals, plays for his country, this was the perfect scenario for the Mavs. Get everyone healthy back on the court in time for a good stretch to get everything in sync before the playoffs and then watch Luka rip out fans hearts on the road and then tell them about it.

STUPID ownership in over their heads and STUPID GM in over his head. Both came from the corporate world and that's how they are operating. Thanks Mark Cuban for bringing all of this to Dallas, destroying a once proud franchise.

We were supposed to get a statue!!!!

We SHOULD have had a Luka statue next to the Dirk statue!

Again, I can't imagine why anyone would want to be a fan of a team with this FO/Ownership. The worst betrayal in NBA history.

Go Lakers!!! Go Luka!!!

The Mavs arena staff doing an incredible job at snuffing out any protest. Unbelievably here's the first sign of commotion I've seen. He probably got kicked out.

What are they going to do when Luka comes to town? Throw out fans wearing Laker gear and/or cheering for Luka?

Actually, the NBA, as well as MLB, NFL, and the NHL are billionaire hobbies. Owning a professional sports team is a billionaire hobby, not a business. So any criticism of how these leagues operate can't be based on comparing them to an actual business. The professional sports "business" model is upside down. In no other business does an employee make more money than their bosses. I know the players aren't just employees, they're also products, but it's still an upside down business model.

The exception to the billionaire hobby rule is the Green Bay Packers. The city owns that team, or something like that.
