Well you'e a Nets fan, everything you see about the Knicks is subjective. Boston (4th seed) lost arguably its most consistent offensive threat and they aren't getting any younger so it's not so difficult to think they'll fall. The Hawks (5th seed) lost their leading scorer. The Magic (6th seed) are likely to lose Dwight. The only 2nd tier team thats kept it together and has actually improved a bit is the Knicks, Jason Kidd may not be the talent he used to be but he can definitely provide in leadership. Objectively, they aren't primed to fail, things come together at some point in time.

I think the Nets do better than the Celtics in the regular season, but Boston will be a tougher playoff team.

Fans may not care but the front office sure does. Why else would it take this long? The fact is, it IS embarrassing. How can this go on for so long? Whether fans care of not, that's the reality. It's embarrassing for your franchise. This is why most Nets fans AND their management walked away. It's not worth it anymore if the Magic are going to keep stalling waiting for the perfect offer. Chances are, it's not coming.

Simply put the longer they hold on to a disgruntled star whose contract is running out, the more teams will try to lowball them into worser offers than what we offered. Before you say they'll risk losing him for nothing and (for some reason) believe it's a good thing, when has a GM actually done that?
