He's a much better playmaker than you are giving him credit for and he's been back to looking like himself from a scoring standpoint. Over the last 8 games averaging 27.6ppg, 6ast on 54fg. Averaging over 30 in the last 4. Some against elite defenses. Him and Embiid together can compete in the east

Great

The Sixers “can compete”

Sixers were #1 seed last year

Simmons is an average scorer & elite in every other aspect

Beal is an elite scorer and below average to outright bad in every other aspect

Oh & he will cost us our best young players plus future picks

We saw what happened last year when Beal & Westbrook went up against Simmons

They both got smoked

As I said “great”

I will take Beal over Simmons any day. Philly had a much better team with a much better coach. Stop acting like that was Brad vs Simmons. People act like Beals a career loser but when they had solid teams they literally were 1 or 2 games from the ecf in 3 of 4 years and Brad had some huge playoff games, including scoring 37 against the #1 seeded celtics in a game 7 game of the semis to go to the ecf that they lost in the final minutes. You would have been a #1 seed with Beal last year also. There was no Beal or Simmons a couple of nights ago and Philly won by 20 with Embiid dominating. I guess that proved Simmons was better also

Beal is one of the most overrated players in the league

Complete turnstile on defence and offers absolutely nothing but scoring

Westbrook was the better Wiz last season and look at how people view him when he’s on a franchise with high expectations

It’s obviously about the Sixers and not the fans as he’s living in Philly, goes to public gyms and has often been seen walking the streets

Would be pleasantly surprised if he even watches their games

He’s checked out

He’s scared alright. Wouldn’t be surprised if he fakes an injury when he eventually faces them.

lol

He’s going to be absolutely petrified going up against Beal, Seth and some random scrub

He won’t be going up against Beal. No team is dumb enough to trade Beal for Simmons.

He will be trembling with fear about going up against Embiid though after a trade is done. Jo will be done with walking on egg shells.

It’s all theoretical though. He will have an injury that night.

Check out Simmons stats & remember how Joel went in the playoffs the year before without him

Fun fact: Simmons has a better playoff record than Embiid and is 2 years younger

Morey is asking the world for Simmons for a reason

Benny did manage to go 1-1 without Embiid in that series. Kudos to him that is quite impressive.

We really could have used a competitor in that Atlanta series though.

It’s one thing to refuse to shoot. It’s another to refuse to take an open dunk.

I guess the next logical step for him was to just quit.

Embiid lost 4 zip without Ben

We had shake who was **** and crappy al.horford and Josh Richardson. They were never going to win. People forget that was the worse iteration of the sixers.

At this point I only hope there is some way 76ers can argue that either Simmons play or they tear up his contract as well as the NBA leave him unable to sign with another NBA team until his original contract date is up.

He smoked Gobert who is a much better defender than Joel

Embiid is a top player but he’s way too slow for Simmons

Only question is whether Ben will play again and nobody knows that answer other than him

No need to want for things which are not possible under the CBA. Morey just has to take a reasonable trade for a player that suits their star player and move on.

Being a professional athlete …. what’s your opinion on a player just refusing to do the basic basketball act of taking a jump shot?

Oh come on … even the biggest Simmons homer would have to admit that the first confrontation between Embiid will be brutal.

Gut feeling is that he’s got a mental problem like a golfer’s yips

Only difference is that golf is an individual sport where you can pass rather than putt

Wouldn’t surprise me at all if he made a brief comeback before retiring

Very sad

Not really

Embiid has about as much chance of catching Simmons as you or I

Joel is a top player but he’s not quick

I would back Simmons in a sprint…. sure.

But influencing a basketball game … I’ll take Embiid any day.

Been there

Imagine a 100 mph pitcher who went from breaking records to not being able to let go of the ball

It happens

I can't imagine Ben suiting up for that. Whatever team he plays for he'll finish out the year receiving the opposite of what Kobe received in every stadium in his last season.

It will either make or break him.
