That was just great coaching by Idoka. Sent the double at kyrie. Tatum guarded Durant.

And he didn’t over coach.

The only issue I have is with Kyrie running down the clock with ISO ball instead of some pick and roll/pick and pop with KD and try to get a nice open shot. He passed it to KD with under 3 seconds left in the shot clock and expected a bail out shot.

Ya, he's not a great defender, but he's decent, and more importantly, he's big. Who doesnt make offense/defense sub up 3, on defense with 45 seconds left? lmaooo

Nash is an idiot.

Kessler is a good enough defender to make Tatum work.

Curry is too small to do anything.

Dear Nets fans, hell of a game. Respect. But also f*** you Kyrie.

Gonna be a long series.

Was shocked how the refs were letting Celtics get away with legit fouling KD in comparison to Embiid flopping vs the Raptors. Celtics are members of the golden boys club, I guess.

He tired to get by the defense but it wasn't there.

Kyrie made enough clutch shots.

Defense decided to let Jaylen Brown run right to the rim. And then nobody helped on Tatum.

Thats what cost the game.

This series is far from over. Nets can still steal game 2 with a better performance from KD.

I mean, if Kyrie doesn't go off, Brown doesn't sleep the first half, and KD plays normally, it's still a win for Boston.

Celtics have more room for improvement than Brooklyn. Kyrie isn't gonna have another game like that. Not sure if Celtics can bury this team without Rob. He will be needed.

Celtics offense could be much better than what we saw tonight. VERY lucky season saving win

There are players that can get hot in the playoffs and there are players that can strike fear into the other team when they do so. Nets have two of those guys, Tatum cannot disappear down the stretch going forward.

Man what an ending!

-I wish Nic Claxton could improve his FT shooting b/c he's such a liability at the line and if he doesn't fix it then the Celtics should just hack him any time they are in the bonus to disrupt momentum. If he can fix that, it won't be as much of a problem as he's really good for them out there.
-Durant really got swarmed out there. While Ramadan Kyrie went off and had a great game trolling C's fans Durant really fell flat. Hopefully it'll be a blip in the radar but man they can't rely on Dragic who looked cooked for the most part this year.
-Boston really were fortunate to win that one at the end and I loved that they didn't call the timeout b/c it'd give Brooklyn an opportunity to set up the half court defense.
-Going for the quick 2 to guarantee yourself an extra possession was smart on Jaylen's part.
-I'd simply live with Kyrie going off and simply clamping Durant and not let the others get going. Best thing to do is simply execute on the offensive end especially knowing that they'll be running 3 guard lineups out there and this is where the Nets will really miss Simmons b/c if he were to be out there, the Nets would be benefiting far more massively on both ends of the floor with him out there.

Really gonna be a great series and to think it's a 1st round battle is insane.

If they ever get Simmons to play they lock to win it all ... They just need to defend better and rebound. Their offense with KD and Durant is just unstoppable...

Brown and Celtic bench couldn't have been any worse.

Kyrie made the choice to not get vaccinated. We all know a healthy Nets team is a top 3 seed and doesn't play BOS in the 1st round. This is exactly what he deserves

i don't give a **** about the vaccine, that perfomance was insane, MJ levels

You said Ky didn't deserve this, when he is the one who created the problem in the first place by putting the team in a big hole during the regular season due to his choice. In an ideal world, the Nets should be blowing out the Hawks at home, not playing the best team in the league since the All Star break in the 1st round.

So can Tatum get some respect as arguably the best wing defender in the league? He had KD off rhythm the entire game.

He had like 5 game changing defensive posessions. He's an all defensive defender.

Are LMA and Blake injured or are they bench placeholders now?

Ramadan Kyrie is a different animal. Holy hell, dropped a megaton bomb on the Celtics today. How the hell did we survive that?

My hope is this takes weight off the Celtics' shoulders. The role players didn't play well today, and Jaylen was very inconsistent. They let the officiating get to them as well. I expect them to play better next game.
