However you want to see it, I think Draymond could've been an all-time great tight end in the NFL.

Warriors 4th quarter adjustment if the game is close in G3: Start Curry to begin the 4th quarter. Coming out and stomping on Boston like they do most teams is par for the course in the 3rd quarter, but they can't allow the momentum to shift after the break. I'd give him 2-3 minutes to begin the 4th, then a few minutes of rest before the close if necessary. This series has plenty of days off between it and he barely had to play in the 2nd half of G2.

I know that the Warriors are the better team with Curry on the floor, and I don't want to see them let this team off the hook.

There's one offensive foul on that play, it's Draymond on White.

He moves through Grant, which is fine, then clears out White so that the screen can be set. That's not legal. Then he bodies up with Horford, which is also fine.

You can move towards the basket but you're not allowed to push the guy out of the way, which he clearly does with White. You can see him extend his arms on White and push him back.

It's a call that gets let go all the time. It'd be more likely to be called if the Celtics had sold it when he pushed them (e.g. flopped) or if he had been popping back out to get a pass to take a shot. It is what it is. Refs let a lot go with Draymond last night, but it wasn't why the C's lost. I'm thinking he likely gets a quicker whistle with the series shifting to Boston now though.

Lol.

Celtics win the series if they dont turn it over. Boston is massively weird. Some games they are sloppy.

Klay's effectively unplayable for us if we're being honest with ourselves, but he's such a threat that if you leave him remotely open to start he can still drop 40 on 15 shots in 3 quarters and just end a game. And he probably will in game 3 or 4.

That's pretty impressive considering he's never done anything remote to that in the PS in his entire career.

A kid can dream.

At this point I'm just wondering why Klay is playing >25 minutes OK. I would prefer him and GPII split minutes going forward in the series so long as his health continues to improve. I love Klay, but this is a tough Finals and we need to be realistic about him at this point.

edit: One game sample size theater, but seeing that Klay was a net 0 +/- in a 20 point win is not shocking to me in the least. I know that Kerr recognizes this and needs to address it. Let's see if he will.

On a positive note, I am extremely confident that we will take a game in Boston/regain HCA and that Klay will have one good shooting night.

The only reason Klay is logging so many minutes is because Kerr is coaching him with his feelings over what he's seeing on the floor.

Dubs in 6

OK. I mean, the Celtics have only lost back-to-back games once since the end of January. The Warriors would have to beat them in back-to-back games twice in this series in order to win in 6, in addition to winning Game 6 in Boston. It's possible for sure, but I think unlikely.

Yeah, it's insane that wasn't an offensive foul.

Holding them to their lowest scoring game of 2022 probably did not hurt. The Warriors have a bad wrap for turning the ball over by the media, but the reality is that it's not a meaningful difference between the two; each will have their games where they turn it over 5+ more times than the other. The Warriors turned it over about once a game more than Boston in the regular season, and 0.4 times more a game in the post-season.

So long as Boston does not hit all of their open 3's from their role players and are able to reset into their half-court defense (G2 4th quarter), the Warriors should out-execute them.

Have to take one in Boston though.

The Celtics basically have a trigger point at 15 turnovers. They're 1-5 these playoffs when they have 15+ turnovers, and 12-2 when they don't.

You might think it's same way for all teams, but that hasn't really been the case. For example, GSW is 6-3 with 15+ turnovers and 7-2 otherwise. MIA was 2-0 with 15+ turnovers and 9-7 otherwise.

Because the Celtics have such good half-court defense, it's incredibly important for them to limit turnovers and therefore limit transition opportunities. The Warriors had 33 points off turnovers last night. In Game 1 they had 10.

BBall SEC fans know about Grant Williams' antics well before he entered the NBA. He was the most hated player in the conference (and it had nothing to do with his talent level... which is extremely mediocre). Him and Draymond getting into it is the least surprising event of this Finals.

No, the least surprising event was the Celtics losing a game in which Tony Brothers officiates.

You lost by 20 and had no player with even 5 fouls. The most egregious play being pasted here is a pick 'n roll where there was never going to be a foul called. Cry somewhere else Patsy.

is anyone as concerned as I am about Robert williams' career going forward?
Coming back from the knee so quickly and just limping around there can't be a good thing going forward.

Ya, it's the FInals so you understand, but this is rough.

He's looking one play away from being done for the series, it's scary.

If the Warriors end up losing this series, it'll be because they moved to San Francisco and changed the font on their logos, thereby losing their mojo and unable to recapture their former glory, it will become the neverending Chase Center curse
