If Miami would've won this game, Toronto would've been swept IMO. Miami plays much better at home.
The Raptors play better on the road.

RS
Toronto (road): 105.2 ORTG || 102.2 DRTG
Miami (home): 117.2 ORTG (1st in NBA) || 104.0 DRTG (since acquiring JJ)

PS
Toronto (road): 93.9 ORTG || 105.6 DRTG
Miami (home): 116.0 ORTG || 95.0 DRTG

I don't see the next 2 games being close at all.

Oh well a win tonight would of been nice but at least I know I can def see Mia in TO for game 5. I fully expected 6-7 games but you guys look bad. JV killed it though man has heart.

Also for a franchise that hasn't accomplished anything in it's history you Raps fans are quite pompous. There's going to be a lot of quote material after this series is over lol

Weren't really struggling. Just playing sloppy. Don't have to be a star to cause a turnover so the role players took advantage of our mistakes. We beat ourselves. I don't say that out of confidence though. Just saying it that way because we shot 49% as a team.

Wouldn't call being stripped 7 times in one quarter "sloppy". You weren't exactly throwing the ball out of bounds.

Not protecting the ball is sloppy. It's lazy if you let someone outright take it from you so...

I'm amazed at how shook Lowry and Derozan are. Lowry at least closed the game with some clutch buckets, I don't know what the hell is up with Derozan. The guy basically settles for midrange jumpers 24/7, is so frustrating to watch this dude. His choke fest on the line was Nick Anderson like, WTF.

I feel for Raptor fans watching this dude.

Yes its defiantly Toronto Fans insecurity for being so bad for so long. And with that thought in mind I'll join the quote material.

Maybe after this game, the outsiders can stop with the whole, "Im praying Miami wins as they will give the Cavs competition."

32-9 at home.
24-17 on the road.

I wouldn't say it's a record thing. Regular season is meaningless because scattered in there are back to backs or just playing down to the level of their opponents and the fact we play our crap divison so much. If you watch all 82 Raptors games like we do, they generally play better on the road. Our team is full of mental midgets (Derozan, Lowry, Ross) and they always crack under pressure and they literally get scared when the crowd is cheering for them in the playoffs for some reason.

I don't want to pull the "you have obviously never played basketball" card but you're leaving me no option.

Being stripped is a product of the other team's activity level. You hesitate, they pounce. Your team hesitated getting into the paint and someone on our team would pounce and get their hand in.
Your team was lazy? Game 2 of a playoff game? Your team was too lazy to hold onto the ball?

When can Miami fans realize their team is not good enough to sweep any team... :crazy:

The Heats going to win this series because the Raptors don't utilize that their best player is JV. While Lowry and DeMar keeps chucking it away

Why was no one saying both these teams are bad when the heat and hornets had a close series?

Give Toronto some respect. They won 56 games for a reason

It's been years like this. It's really painful to watch. He plays some of the dumbest ball you can possibly play. And he gives next to no effort on defense to top it all off.

His +/- on nights where he scores a lot is usually not very good either.

You have to put some blame on the staff allowing him to get away with it too. He's actually a pretty good spot up shooter, when he's not got a guy in his face and he's on balance and isn't creating his own shot. In other words, he'd be a lot more effective in a Richard Hamilton kind of role... but we ask him to be Kobe and he's nowhere near that.

FOH with that, kid

We made lackadaisical passes and we lacked focus because they were ok with winning game 1. Just like last series, they came in with a mentality to take 1 game on the road. (and failed in that case)

Raps in 6!

We would have won without overtime if refs didn't blow calls at the end of game 1
We would have won by double digits in game 2 if we didn't commit 21 turnovers tonight. :roll:

This is hilarious. 21 turnovers. Keep believing Raptors defense had nothing to do with that....

So ignore 2 ACTUAL games that were played between the two teams that went into OT, and rely on a sample size of 3 games against other teams.

Tremendous stuff. Compliments on the sweep call earlier in the thread.

No I didn't. Before the series began, I voted Heat in 6. But you can probably shoe in victories for Miami the next 2 games.

No lie the Hornets would have killed the Raptors . I like the Raptors team, they have good players, but they their coaching is suspect just like Spo. JV could had scored against Whiteside all game just like BIG AL was destroying whiteside . I remember game 3 and 4 they went to AL like 9 plays in a row . HEAT AND RAPTORS have to be the two toughest teams to watch .
