Coming back from the knee so quickly and just limping around there can't be a good thing going forward.

Ya, it's the FInals so you understand, but this is rough.

He's looking one play away from being done for the series, it's scary.

I'm constantly on edge watching him and cringe just about every time he jumps.

I think he just needs to get through this series without doing too much damage and then they can take as long as they want to get him right going into next season. Give him extra days off/manage his minutes, hopefully get him right.

Think he's always going to be a guy who you feel is an injury waiting to happen, you just have to hope it's not serious.

Boston wasn't winning two in a row in Golden State. Under normal circumstances I be thrilled with a split but Boston is so bad at home wouldn't surprise me if they lose both games.

I think you're looking at another split. I think Boston wins game 3.

They're gonna come out with extra physicality after being bullied a bit in game 2 and probably (hopefully) will get a more friendly whistle that'll mean they can better contain GSW. Then game 4 I expect the pendulum to swing the other way and it to be a more fairly called game with Warriors pulling it out akin to what they did last night.

Would be really disappointed if they managed to lose both. Think this is gonna be a great series, would be a shame if it didn't go 6/7.

With the Celtics offense it's not if the offense is going to fail for a quarter it's when.

While Boston is turning the ball over and scoring 14 points in a quarter Golden state's going to rack up 35 points.

This isn't Milwaukee or Miami. The warriors are going to make you pay for bad quarters. At this point I think we're looking at a split best case.

Shows how useless those stats are in a 1 game sample.

I think I told this story on the C's board a while back but when I was a kid I was in the hospital for a few weeks and one day the menu said I was getting a "succulent turkey sandwich" for lunch. But then they brought it to me and it was totally nasty. So I asked my dad what "succulent" means and he said it means something sucks. So for years I thought calling something succulent means it sucks haha.

Anyway, I'm bringing this up because that 2nd half was immensely succulent lol.

great adjustments by warriors in game 2. draymond green such a key and elite impact player despite how terrible he is as a scorer and shooter. totally locked down anyone and everyone he was assigned to on boston and clearly got in their head.

absolute lockdown defense against boston in the second half and both brown and tatum were helpless, not to mention how awful smart, horford and the role players were too.

will be tough to see how it plays out at boston. hard to imagine warriors role players like poole, porter, klay etc playing a lot better on the road but it could happen.

still a pick 'em series.

Did you watch the game? We wouldn't have won the game if Green didn't play if that was what we were going to do. The third quarter we threw the ball to the Warriors at least 3 times without any obvious reason.
I did expect however the Warriors would get away with more and they did. Touch fouls on Steph, the defense played in Tatum and Brown was 4x more physical without fouls. This wasn't the reason we lost tho, it was a bizzarely poor, highschool yard basketball type 3rd quarter.
Good assessment:

that's not a revelation or anything new. celtics have shown in every series except the first round that they have bad decision makers and turnover prone guards in smart, tatum and brown.

That's actually wild KD and Kyrie were shut down as hard as they were against this defense in the 1st round. Curry really is levels ahead. He's averaging 32/5/5 on a 62% TS with just 4 total turnovers in two games. Didn't even play a minute in the 4th last night. They have no answer.

Does it say more about Tatum or more about Andrew Wiggins?

Isn't it weird that Doncic followed a great Suns series performance with a rough Warrior's series? Fans are way slow in recognizing defensive dominance.

I'm willing to bet that IF Tatum continues to have a rough finals, it will all be about how he was awful....and zero about another great Wiggins defensive performance.

I'd be pretty happy if Tatum continues to struggle to the tune of 28 points on 62 TS% in three quarters of play.
Tatum actually got by Wiggins pretty easily. The Dubs defender that gave him trouble was weirdly enough Bjelica.
