Plus his head is screwed on right. This is why I immediately posted when I saw him at 16 years old, future GoAT possibility. If he's healthy, he's the definition of "special" on a basketball court.

Took him all of about 80 minutes to adjust to the physicality of the NBA. He'll have to do it again when the regular season starts but that's a mark of a great player.

I'll go ahead and make a sig bet that Mikal is better by RPM this year than Zach.

What a move and he could actually make it a lot simpler. What a pre-season game, there is no one that could stop him. Maybe end up avg 25pt or more this year.

Well this will be the easiest rookie of the year voting, only injury can take it away. Guy has a nice game. Freakishly long, good looking J, dunks it from anywhere. This dude has mad potential.

Already knows he can get that long mid range any time he wants, they're just too short to even bother him. Nice passing out of double teams.

Wembanyama is the only player in basketball history who has the assets to surpass MJ.

Nobody else had the tools until now.

Wembanyama if he stays healthy has a big big chance to become the GOAT basketball player

Ηe's the new benchmark.
20 years from now they'll be telling us about some new prodigy and we'll be like "nah I remember Wemby at 19 could already do this and that and the other thing".

If you’re referring to Bill Russell, absolutely not (maybe very few shades). Being 7’5 represents a decent amount of lateral quickness , and speed in general , being traded off.

That said, Wemby is very fluid and functionally athletic for his height. Some of his abilities to cover court on either side were on full display tonight. If the handle and passing continue, I think we get an all-star caliber player much sooner than later.

Spot on. As is, Wemby is already talented around the nail and mid-range area. For any player, having passing as a counter around there is huge. We’re already seeing this ability develop with how good his handle is.

I'm 47.

Last night, I told my 13 year old son that i wasn't sure Jordan could score 1-on-1 with Wemby and he told me I was crazy
