And he still played more games than LeBron. And they still finished with a worse record. Like I said, last season is irrelevant. It's just a bad argument for why AD would be better

Triples333 wrote:Of course they benefit massively off each other. That is entirely the point.

No, that wasn't your point at all. If it was, then you wouldn't use that fact as a reason to credit one over the other. I think it's a wash mostly

I never made it as a point that AD was "better", don't be obtuse.

If you think it's a wash of them at this point, then why are you wasting our time. That is exactly what I said, and gave 'Bron the edge.

The bottom line is that neither are in the #1 MVP debate if we are being objective.

Ah, I see. I misread your post. My bad.

Think we're on the same page

We saw Lebron with the Lakers last season without AD. Rest assure, they were not on pace for 60+ wins. Hell, even after his attempted Super-Saiyan "it's Playoff Mode!" time, they still fell flat on their face.

I don't recall the Pelicans being on pace for 60 wins either. They obviously both benefit from each other so last season is irrelevant. Not to mention, the supporting cast is much more complete than last year

I agree it's a 4/5 scenario with LeBron/AD tho. If Giannis, Doncic, and Harden didn't exist, I'd lean towards LeBron. The team depends on him much more. There's literally no one else except Rondo who could run the offense.

Context for last season matters anyway. Lebron is way healthier this season, the supporting cast outside of AD is probably comparable and the ten chemistry ranked after the failed ad trade attempt. Anyone Trying to paint a picture that the lakers just added AD isn’t being honest.

Giannis is great and all, but sophomore leading the best offense in the history of NBA, leading lottery team to 3rd place and all that while posting 30 points triple double on elite efficiency is just best story since Curry 16 RS. And most fun to watch.
My vote is for Don Luka.

Actually think lebron would be ahead of harden in the voting. Just because of team record but we’ll see I guess.

Well good thing you don’t get an actual vote because Giannis is gonna win this in landslide with the way things are panning it out

I think he's not the one underestimating.

Doncic is putting up 30 10 and 10 playing winning basketball - this means you expect from a kid that has yet to play a single professional game in his life to be better than that?

You understand Zion will have to average numbers like Giannis' to be even put in the same sentence with Luka right?

Its crazy how Luka has the best driving game in the NBA already at age 20 with an unremarkable athleticism.

Having a dominant defense might give him the edge, even without the stats... But i dont think Zion has the size to be a defensive anchor like Giannis, so its hard to imagine him over Luka.
