Marc Davis
Tony Brothers
Ed Malloy
Scott Foster
Zach Zarba
Ken Mauer
Lauren Holtkamp
Joey Crawford
Dick Bavetta
Tim Donaghy

it's not good I know enough NBA refs to start a game of 5v5 pickup basketball

Didn’t get a chance to watch the game but looks like nobody played well on the Heat and they shot 7/36 from the 3 as a team.

How much of that was due to Celtics defense? Did Miami miss a lot of open looks?
Bang.. Bang.. and Bang..

No, Deng. It's Deng!

Well, Butler does that on every possession. He clears space and either goes for the lay up or the midrange J.
Good assessment:

Both teams flop. Kemba flops, Smart flops, Dragic and Robinson flop, Jae flops. Dragic has a trademark, whenever he flops he holds his face, specifically mouth.

Banter came in the 2nd quarter stemmed the tide and turned the momentum of the game back in the Celtics' favor. Kanter set some great screens and is an excellent roller and finisher at the rim and Miami had to pay attention to him, which they weren't doing before Enes came it. The Celtics were just passing it around the 3 point line.

How did you forget LeBron?

The refs are supposed to regulate that with technicals.

LBJ does flop, but he ain't in the series.

Watch Dragic whenever nearly every time he gets fouled, you will see him hold his mouth.

Gotcha.

Yeah, man, it's bad. JVG and Breen were going OFF on it tonight. Jeff was funny. The refs don't have the guts to make that call in the playoffs when they haven't called it all year. But players are flopping more BECAUSE it is the playoffs and everyone is trying to get every call. Silver has to send a warning to the teams that he's instructed the officials to start calling technicals or else there's no point in having the rule.

I'm worried about our guys' legs, though. We may be one of the youngest teams this season, but the Heat prides themselves on being the best-conditioned team. Butler, Dragic, Herro, and Bam are extremely well-conditioned, and their constant movement will wear any opponent down. Our guys have to dig really deep in order to out-tough them for two more games.

What I'm really surprised about is Butler's lack of aggression and scoring. That's two straight games now where he's been nearly invisible on offense for the Heat. They need him to step up, can't count on Herro dropping 30+ again. At least Dragic has been consistent for them.

You don't need to worry. Celtics need 2 more wins vs Heat and that won't happen for sure.

So save ur health.

I think Bam is at his ceiling. Right now. How much better he gonna get? He’s good.

As far as Herro. Y’all think he is a 20 plus ppg scorer?

I see 15-20. But maybe others see Klay Thompson. Guess we will see .

You think a player who just turned 23 years old, who is a first year starter, and was an all star and ALL NBA defender at that.....is at his CEILING?

Yea, that isn't a good take. At all. I'd reevaluate that one if I was you.

How much better can he be? All star, mobile defender, good on boards and score inside.

I think he is terrific. What part of his game gets better? He isn’t a scorer. Dude is already at a high level and an A defender. Weird.

Unless he adds a 3 point shot, I don't expect him to advance too much, either. I dunno if his 2 point jumper was good before, but it has been trash in the series, it's been lay ups and dunks for him when he's scored.

Everybody hates the refs, because that's how the league makes them officiate games. No refs is ever being punished for bad calls. On paper the league has rules, but these rules are extremely flexible and change from game to game. It's frustrating to watch. Obviously, that's also a way for the league to tip the scale for one team or the other. I'm not saying the refs will shot at one of the team's baskets, but they can definitely help, especially in close games.

Celtic scrub knees Raptor star, defensive foul (even after a review). Heat star knees Celtic scrub, offensive foul.

The difference in this one is Jimmy choked. Looked like he didn't want it.

Love Bam. I just think he is already playing at a high level. Maybe more experience, but people think that because he is 23 he is going to so much better in 3 years. I just don’t think he can get much better because he is already a game changer.

Consistency and maybe a little more scoring. But he isn’t Embiid, Jokic or Davis. He isn’t a high -scoring big.

I guess a Bam fans took that as a slight. It really isn’t. I love the guys game and put him as a top 20 nba player. Certainly one of the best, if not the best, secondary scoring player in the nba.

Bam will absolutely add a three point shot. His little 10-15 footer has been money for the most part, and he’s good enough from the line where you can see it translating to outside shooting.

I remember something earlier in the year about Butler basically bribing Bam to shoot threes, I may have imagined it though.

There were two more of these that went the Celtics way. I think Dragic was defending both times. Pretty sickening stuff. Those, combined with the missed goal tend, the long review of Dragic's hostile act, and the fact that I already knew the league would be pushing Boston tonight, are the reason I only watched like 5 minutes of this game.
If you only watched five mins you missed they were bad in every way all game.

First half the heat could grab on d all day no foul. Third quarter all contact was a foul. Dragic jumping into theis was not a foul on theis. Kemba already in the air shooting when fouled was not a side out. Should have been four points play. Dragic did not offensive foul when he nut shot theis. Theis did not foul him either. That was a natural shooting motion two points and play on. So many more. Officials just weren't good or consistent.

Just so I understand with Dragic....he's smart and crafty veteran when he draws fouls and jumps 8 feet forward to get a foul on Theis?
