Hornet fan here, I think you have to give it to Antman -- with the games Melo missed, I think he eeks it out

Kid is a special special scorer...
I compared him to Joe Johnson pre draft and boy was I wrong... Kid could become Joe Johnson if you gave him Wade’s athleticism. Just a scary good young talent.
23/6/3 in his last 34 games and the kid is still only 19

Edwards is on his way. I think it would take a near miracle for Ball to catch him now.

Re: Rookie Play, Highlights & Discussion
In last nights Hawks vs Suns game Okongwu lead the 4th quarter charge that ended up being a 30 point blow out.The Hawks backups started the 4th quarter with a 9 point lead and they never came out of the game.
Okongwu lead all scorers in the 4th with 10 points. He went 5/5 from the field with 2 boards and 3 steals. I like this kid a lot. He has established himself as the backup center behind Capela. But he is still not getting the every day 20 minutes a game I think he needs to push for a all rookie team.
Final stat line: 14/7/2/3/1 in 18:27 minutes played.

Re: Rookie Play, Highlights & Discussion
Edwards stats since the all-star-break (30 GP):
Line - 35 MPG - 23.7 PPG - 5.5 RBDs - 3.2 ASTs - 2.7 TOs - 2.0 STOCKs
Shooting splits - 51.5% 2 PT FG% - 35.2% 3 PT FG% (8.2 ATT/g) - 75.2% FT% (5.0 ATT/g)
Advanced - 28% usage - 55.7 TS% - 52.3% eFG% - 61% FG% inside 5 FT
OFFENSIVELY Edwards has essentially been performing at an almost mirror image of Donovan Mitchell level for half of a season now. Is that enough to win ROY? I'm not sure... it helps that he's up against a player who will only play 45 games or so, but I'm not sure it's enough.
I think Edwards has to have multiple more of these types of nights over the final few games to take it. That could cement the idea that Ant has taken not just 1 jump (pre and post all star break), but an additional jump down the stretch (final ~10-15 games or so) that could build the idea that he deserves it.

Okongwu was supposed to be good. That injury the start of the season “ruined” him

I think everyone taken in the top 5 - 10 is suppose to be good. Being buried behind Capela, Collins, and Gallinari is not doing him any favors to get minutes. He's only had 3 games when he got 20 or more minutes. Its hard to get the stats and attention like that.

If you resign Collins, do you see that changing next season?

Not much but I could see a uptick to 18 - 20 minutes a game.
