That was a good showing. No Huerter but Hawks got a win. Collins killing the glass even on a bad night and Trae with zero turn overs. Madison Square Garden is not for wall flowers. Hunter and Reddish accounted for themselves well.

Golden State has been looking pretty weak so far in this preseason. They could easily not make the playoffs.

I know who theyre playing, but this starting lineup for LA is a problem. Lots of defense there, even with Lebron half-assing it. Defense, shooting, Lebron PnR with a big who can catch and finish is scary.

Practicing for the regular season - it's all about the stats for Harden.

I expected a fall off from the 1st half. Rookies stringing together a whole game is tough. I will be glad to get Huerter back. If Schlenk thought it was feasible, I would not be opposed to chasing Steven Adams in a trade. Hawks have plenty of contracts going off the books in 2020 to make it work. Its really a matter of if he thinks its to early to chase a long term max at this point in the rebuild.

Adams is only 26 so its not like he would be getting a aging vet to play with the young core.

Yeah he’s going to maybe end up in Orlando, New York, or some random team for depth. Draymond is about to get exposed this season until Klay comes back

Also, looking at their lineup they are tailor made for KAT

They understand cr needs some reeforcement with his confidence. Healthy competition is a good thing for those two...

Regarding Kat, you know the entire league wants him. He's the missing piece for atl. Hate to even fantasies about it unless a birdie got a message through...

Seeing as your a hawks fan, what're your thoughts on Collins?

Personally admittedly I'm not high on his prospects on a contender, purely because of his inability to defend or space the floor and his lack of ability to play the 5.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on his future and what role he could play for you guys if you were to contend.

I mean his game is not asthetically pleasing, however he's a good rebounder and elite finishing above and around the rim. His shooting is coming around, not a strength or weakness.

He will need an elite big to compliment him along with Trae. They have to find that center that will make life easier for them defensively.

Just came in here to say that I personally don't mind the Lakers starting lineup, not from watching this game, but just in general, it's pretty solid. The obvious weakness is a lack of another ball handler / playmaker on the perimeter, and that's where one can explore whether AD can continue to take steps in that direction, but the starting lineup is just that, the starting lineup, team performance is all about what other solid guys you have to fill in specific roles.

Avery Bradley was pretty bad for the Clippers, it was a happier moment when he was on the bench. I mentioned to other Clippers fans before last season that he has never stood out to me defensively as many perceived him, and I still hold on to him being above average but not an overall very good defender, BUT, I like him guarding PG's more than wings, and he is a capable outside shooter.

The really are a three week calf injury for Steph away from being out of contention. Their margin for era this season is so small.

Wait why the heck are the Warriors and Lakers playing each other 4 times in preseason?

Reminds me of the 80s when the Sixers and Celtics would play like 6 times in preseason and be getting in fights by the end.

I honestly think RJ looks alright tbh.

DSJ is just absolutely dreadful though, I can't believe he's the asset the knicks got back from the KP trade, what a highway robbery.
He's legit just athletic, that's it. Has bad vision, bad finisher, bad shot, bad defender. Horrible prospect

i gotta feel bad for the knicks and their fans.i dont see any promise in dsj or ntilinkia. it was not just highway robbery, it was strong-arm and raping. as for some of the youth like knox, he looks like he's continuing from last year as chuck first, undersized tweener?? he also looks really slow for some reason. and RJ... i just dont see franchise savior like how zion is saving the pels. he's getting corraled out there and is being dared to shoot and his percentages are horrid right now. he's young, hopefully he can at least turn into a zach lavine ceiling??

It's too early to say anything about Barrett, the positives for me are that he does other things when he's not scoring well, like running the offense and rebounding. I would think people would hold off on rookie evaluations after what happened with Trae Young last year in summer league, preseason and the first half of the season.

DSJ is a lost cause though, he does nothing well, Frank isn't a PG but I could see him being like Josh Richardson as a guy who is a 2 on offense but can defend 1s on defense. The biggest issue in all of this is that Fizdale is not a good developmental coach, there's no way that Mitch should be coming off the bench but this idiot says he's going to make him work for the starting spot as though he didn't work last year, or that he'll just stop working if he's given the spot.

dsj has so much offensive potential that fizdale is failing to see. yes its early but hopefully its not a sign of things to come with the way fzdale is utilizing dsj. as for RJ, i do like his attiutde out there though his shots aren't dropping consistently. with time, we'll see better production. knox still has potential, but im not seeing what u are on ntilikina. i think at this point, he needs to just focus on scrapping, getting steals and using his size to be disruptive, because he is a big defensive guard at this stage, and there's nothing wrong with that. i want to see the knicks grow and become relevant again
