People forget how complicated that trade was and the timing of it.

The Knicks would be unlikely to make this type of trade next offseason.

The nets cooperated with the apron so the Knicks can still be below a certain amount. And the Knicks gave up zero realized assets like McBride, hence why the pick amount.

And it was also a trade with the Nets in a competitive NYC market.

I wonder if Knicks are gonna continue to stubbornly force feed KAT the ball. Horford is the kind of big that can neutralize bigs like Towns. He’s made Joel Embiid his you-know-what in basically every playoff series they’ve had against each other. Got so bad that Sixers signed Horford just so that Embiid wouldn’t have to play against him.

But anyway yeah back to Towns, I think it would be a very poor strategy.

Tatum's meltdown in game 1 was one one for the ages but credit to the Knicks for not quitting and making enough plays to pull it out game 1. Hopefully, this is a great series where both teams play well. One-sided playoff series are boring so it would be great for the NBA if this BOS/NY series turns into a classic.

Has to be said though, Porzingis is dreadful and he has no business participating in PO games if this is the effort he is going to bring. I remember watching him wilt the same way in Dallas in the POs against the Clippers, and thought this dude should be wearing pampers. Sadly, former Knicks' coach Jeff Hornacek was right
