I don't know if that's the rule, but if it is it doesn't make sense to me.

"Ball on the hand" should be reserved for a player being in the process of taking a shot.

In Gordon's case, he had already put the ball through the hoop, his fingertip may possible have been touching the top of the ball but I don't think that should be considered Gordon still being in the process of shooting (or dunking) anymore.

It is the rule though. That's why he made a point to say Gordon released the ball right before the buzzer.

Kawhi's dumb ass 3s cost them.

His 2nd to last 3 attempt I would agree was dumb. His last 3 attempt he had little time left when he got the ball outside the 3 point line. He had to take a shot or get violation. It was a dumb play call.

He had 12 seconds to get a shot off. Plenty of time.

No. It was 13 seconds when Harden started the play. He tried to get around a defender then passed the ball to a wide open role player near the 3 point line who looked at the bucket and decided to pass the ball to Kawhi with 5 seconds left. Kawhi was outside the 3 line with a defender in his face and another nearby. He looked to drive and seeing defenders set up for it decided to take a jump shot 3. I remember thinking that's so dumb for Harden to run the clock down and do that. Go back and watch that possession.
