You're completely distorting what she said. She reported that they "weren't concerned about his long-term health" because they believed the worst that could happen was an aggravation of the existing injury, not a greater one

I understand that, and I can see why someone may see it that why.

But I see it differently, simply because aggravating a strain of a muscle belly or tendon isn't anything to take lightly, especially if it's the gastrocnemius or achilles. As we all know a rupture could lead to serious long term impairments. If you don't let that muscle/tendon rest for enough time, you are seriously putting yourself at risk for a rupture.

Luckily from that video they just showed of KD walking to the locker room, it looks like he didn't rupture anything
