8 fouls.in 26 minutes for those 2.

You gave up way too easily.

If you told me before the game that

-we would lose SL and Plumlee to foul trouble starting early on
-we miss 19 straight 3s, 4-24 overall
-we would have our bench play terribly
-AK wouldn't play
-we would get outrebounded 45-37
-KG + Mirza and Thornton would be 2-15 from the field

I never would have thought we would have won.

At least Livingston was able to play most of the 4th and was key there.
Plumlee was only able to play 12 minutes, but was +13 in those 12 minutes.

lowry's the real all star on the team

I can see that now . Most of us don't get to see the raptors play as they aren't nationally televised often.

It's because your have such a pessimistic point of view but you try really hard to look at the games very objectively while being a fan of a team which i have to give you credit for. However, if you really think we would loose this series you are nuts. They can't match up against us and they are running on confidence. No matter how much you look at the numbers it won't say the reality of the situation. We are simply too much for them.

The amount of Raptors in 4 votes...

Raptors play with a lot of passion and effort, but have little of anything else, which is something that can only work in the regular season.

They just don't have the necessary players and coaching to be realistically competitive against a veteran team like the Nets. They're in the playoffs, but they're not a real playoff caliber team. Any team in the West, including a few that missed the playoffs, and any team in the East except for the Wizards, Hawks, and Bobcats are out of their league, imo.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if they get swept.

Nets are lucky to have a closer like Pierce.

There was an entire quarter and change to play when you said this though and the Nets were up. Yes, Kidd's horrible lineup gave the lead away in the 4th, but just set a little logic aside for faith in the vets to show up.

The Spurs beat the Heat in Game 1 at MIA in the Finals last year. Plenty of home teams have lost Game 1 and have come back to win the series.

No need to claim we've won the series. We got a long way to go.

Lmao! These Raps are gonna get spanked. I won't be surprised if it ends up a sweep. Raps ain't no Heat buddy, they don't what it takes yet to win back a series like Miami. This PO for the Raps is basically a lesson learned, an experience. They should be alright but still won't be ready though. I'd give them 2 more years from now and they'll be ready, but still a long way to be a contender like the Nets.

Raptors never were that good. The only reason they finished 3rd in the conference is because they had very good luck healthwise compared to other teams in the conference. Pretty much every other team 1-8 had long long injuries to their top players.

Because it's played out even on the Nets Board and only funny after a Raptors loss.

Generally my pessimism has been realism and my original prediction earlier in this thread (from a day or two ago) was that we probably take game 1 thanks to our experience and their inexperience.

But yes, mid way through the 3rd when two of our best defenders had 4 and 5 fouls, I thought we were done. We were ice cold from the floor and it looked like Toronto was ready to grab the momentum and go.

This series is far from over.
May I remind you how much confidence we had after game 1 last year when he had home-court and blew out Chicago?

NBA Referres will ensure raptors don't advance.

Raptors will fight but all the touchy calls won't let them play to their full potential.
