Statement game.

 They don't even play in the same conference they barely see each other every season. Embiid needed performance like this against Jokic , good for him.

Are you seriously going to say Embiid is MVP (yet again, for the third year in a row) and spam this thread (for the third year in a row), and be dead wrong, again (for the third year in a row)?

Such a hater. Worst poster on this forum and that’s saying a lot.

Embiid and Jokic have fought to a draw over the course of their careers. Embiid has a Game Score (which includes everything) of 19.6 vs. Jokic in 7 career matchups. Jokic has a Game Score of 19.7.

Sounds like you're a little sour about today's game.

I tip my hat to Embiid. He played amazingly.

Speaking of zero class (you) here's the type of garbage YOU post when Jokic has a monster game:

And, it's one game. Jokic has led every single MVP poll since I've been here, and has been the favorite (betting odds), throughout.

This was Embiid's biggest game of the season (like the All-Star game last year where he went out to chase an accolade)...for Jokic this was just another game - he shot 12x (lower than average), Embiid shot 31 shots (he has shot 30+ FOUR TIMES in his career...). He cared a LOT about the game, Jokic dgaf lol.

This take is so weak man. Somehow it’s cool to care less about playing against the best in the game? This is a loser mentality that I really don’t think Jokic has.

And there it is trying to make it seem like Embiid got up for this but Jokic didn't. Minimizing this is what the GB likes to do. It's okay, just a bad game, players have them. It's so hard for you guys just to give full credit to a player. There always has to be fine print. Never change bruh.

To be fair that’s on Jokic and Malone. They needed to make adjustments in the second half but they didn’t. I expect it will be different the next game they play. Tucker should be getting eaten alive next time on jokic. Make Embiid spend energy guarding jokic instead of Gordon. Even this game they should have had Gordon running around cutting making embiid work on defense. But they didn’t. That’s poor adjustments from the coaching staff

Coming from you that’s golden especially with comments in this very mvp thread when Jokic put up a 40pt triple double what was your reply again. You have no leg to stand on Eyeatoma none

What I said, was indicative of the ridiculous praise heaped on Jokic when he has games like those, but with Embiid, there's always microscopes looking at the advanced stats. It's called a joke, y'all take **** too seriously on here.

Glad to see you actually responded to my post. Your inability to tells me everything I need to know.

I still got Jokic as the MVP (for now) but is your post an actual excuse? That is amateur hour - oh he just didn't try on a nationally televised game against his only real competition at Center. Bizarre.

Dude I called you out how many times the last three years. And before you say anything I have always credit Embiid when he has played great so don’t give me that ****. Also when have I ever brought up advanced stats for Jokic? Think before you come at me

I think you're both having some reading comprehension issues.

I didn't say he didn't TRY...he absolutely tried to win. There were several instances where he passed up a good shot for a great shot (or layup). He didn't decide "I'm gonna chuck and try to score as much as I can", he decided to do what he does in every other game of the year...try to make the best basketball decision (most +EV move). Embiid said "I'm gonna shoot 30+x for the 4th time in my career because this matchup matters a LOT to me"...to Jokic it's 1 of 82 games.

Really, it was that 3 at the end of the game that left the impression of a one sided match-up, which actually could have gone either way. Cassidy tried to elicit an acknowledgement of some kind of grudge between them, but Joel was all smiles, saying he was a big fan of Jokic, the MVP. I was concerned about him in the game against Simmons and the Nets, but so glad to hear him say that his main concern is stay healthy for this year’s playoffs. “We’ve got a chance.”

idk what you are trying to say but what you ended up saying is Jokic didn't care about winning?

Why doesnt he care? Seems important when youre paid a quarter of a billion dollars to win
