I don’t know about what we’ve been seeing.

Honestly might be better to take the Ls and save Lebron for when it counts in the elimination round.

The team looks deferential with him on the floor, and is he going to be worn out by the medal round?

Truth but I think Durant coming back will help them

If we’re relying on Durant’s health and a 40 year old Lebron to continually wind back the clock like this…we’re effed.

Stick to hotdogs and sausages. Leave basketball to us.

You need a 40 year old to take over the game to beat us while you got a team full of all NBA guys..

Where did the Wagners go to school to help develop their games? 8-)

I hope Kerr realizes now that they have a size advantage against most wings, take advantage of it.

Everytime I watch Germany Schroder always seems like such a ball hog and takes some ill advised shoots.... he went like 3 straight possessions taking bad shoots and that is what flipped the script for usa to win the game.

He's been fantastic this game. Not sure which game you're watching.

This has been his best game, I have given him his props. But he has been slow on rotations, lack intensity on the boards. He just seems not to fit.
It's the usual form him in the summer when he's recovering from an injury.
Look at the last few seasons. He starts very slow then by November he ramps it up and by December he plays like the best player in the NBA until he inevitably gets hurt again.

I agree he's not fit and it's a shame. Would be better for everything if he were 25 to 30 lbs lighter.

Durant is arguably their 2nd best player though

This USA victory was 50% LeBron and 50% Schroeder.

Damn we need Durant back. Can't keep relying on Bron to close it out. If Curry isn't making shots he's not providing much.

That's even more embarrassing for Germany that they got beat by one guy that is 40 years old.

This must be what it was like to be a Cleveland fan in the late 00s, literally the only guy I feel confident in at the end of games is LeBron

Also, I'm no fan of KD but he needs to come back asap and save us from supposed top 10 players like Tatum and Edwards, at least according to this board. Booker hasn't been exactly lighting it up either.

You’re embarrassing yourself.

Their country doesn’t give two flying ****s about basketball and yet are capable of taking down our supposedly unbeatable team of stars.

And Embiid is supposed to be top 4. Durant needs to come back.

 Not this again... no team in the history of team sports is unbeatable.

Kudos to Germany for making the best out of their opportunities but this game should never have been this close. Our offensive execution is dreadful. Hopefully this will improve during the group stages.

Tatum has easily become the most overrated player in the league. Just got voted #6 in the league... is he even a top 6 player on this team?

The international competition today, compared to 1992 isn't even close. Back then, not counting team USA, there were 11 other teams and only had 2 nba current players. Without looking it up, I'd say there's probably 20+ nba players in today's Olympics.

All of that is true. But South Sudan isn't exactly a world power at basketball and this US team is nowhere close to the dream team.

I wrote “supposedly,” and I certainly wasn’t of the people saying that.

Well done. You certainly win the gold for grade school insults.
