When I see a player hand gets hit

They always say hand is part of the ball

Is it up to what the ref decides

You have hit the ball first or at the same time.

The longevity is unquestionable, but their individual peaks are. MJ simply had another gear to him when he faced adversity, Lebron doesn’t have it.

And yes; Pistol was the man.

Yes watching MJ take down a 73 win team from down 3-1 was pretty amazing adversity to watch him overcome.

Thing is, MJ don’t need to take down a 73 win team because he is the 70+ win team. And MJ won’t go down 1-3 in the Finals in the first place.

Checkmate.

Probably, since it hurt a big market fan base immensely.

I noticed ABC didn't show that angle until after the challenge call was made. I think if the refs had the let the call stand, we wouldn't have seen that angle.
Exactly. We never would have seen it had that view not been relayed expeditiously.

MJ at age 40 was getting it handed to him by the *checks notes* 2003 Eastern Conference!! Maybe the worst conference in the last 35 years.

MJ at 40 had 6 championships three-peating twice. He don’t need to dive his 40 year old ass on the floor like Lebron lol. Dude looks a pity out there still trying his hardest to catch Mike.

Question as I unfortunately missed most of this game: LeBron had 18 free throws but only 9fgas. What was the context of this discrepancy? Did it feel deserved or gifted?

1. That series was rigged to be extended for revenue.

2. Kyrie hit far more big shots in that series. He stopped the bleeding and then Bron would accumulate stats.

They DID let game 7 get played out and GS choked, but the NBA got it to game 7.

And don't you dare forget who the Cavs chose to have the ball at the end in what turned out to be the biggest single shot in NBA history.

And Jordan never needed a single game 7 in the finals.

The context is you should actually watch the games and don’t rely on the dumb # of free throws takes.

Not our fault he’s still stuck at 4 championships hence he still needs to play at 40.

Jordan wasn’t playing for anything anymore at that age, he already got not 1 but 2 three peats in his career, nothing left to prove at that point unlike Bron who surely wants one more.

Well, 4 chips is nothing to sneeze at. That's more championships than the whole Mavs organization.

Besides, threepeating twice in the expansion era isn't as great as you make it out to be.

Cope hard today my boy, i aint even much of a Mavs fan. Nice try though. Your GOAT gonna need 7 games in the 1st round haha. He aint used to this. Welcome to the Westside. This aint no cakewalk East. No 1st round sweep and gimmes.

On that note, should we now review and asterisk all of Lebron’s titles in the East? If he played in the West as we see in his past 5 years, it would have taken more out of him leaving him with less energy for later rounds/Finals, if he would have even gotten there.

So we might now know the secret to Lebron’s great performances in the Finals before. It’s because he could coast in the East playoffs. That’s why he was always so fresh come Finals time.

I thought before it was PED’s. But I think it was the easy competition. He couldn’t do much out West and looks so tired out there.

LeBron's record against the West while playing in the East: 143-72 (.665%)
LeBron's record against the West while playing in the West: 158-101 (.610%)

In other words, he’d been beating Western teams at a top-seed clip long before he ever joined the Lakers, and he even won a title out West in 2020. Expecting him to replicate prime dominance two decades and 59,000+ minutes into his career misunderstands both aging and the record he already built against each conference.

You will see people saying he got breathed on for fouls, but I don't remember any of them being even close to horrible

He got 3 FTs off of a Gobert flagarant, and a tech as well

He was aggressive attacking 4 on 3 or when Luka got into the teeth of the defense and the ball started to rotate. That led to a lot of downhill opportunities and a lot of free throws as Minnesota often fouled near the rim.

Lol, in that finals against golden state where he had a 50 point game 1, he took a random trip to Miami from Cleveland just before the finals, even though game 1 was at golden state. Haslem said it.

Error: double post
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

Not to mention that 73 win team... was NOT the 73 win team. Steph was a shell of himself and his amazing season was the main reason they got 73. Kyrie even outscored him in the finals, so get out of here with that "beat a 73 win team" over sensationalizing act. They looked VERY beatable.

Yes, we can discuss Jordan vs LeBron for the meantime since that’s an argument that is very significant after a LeBron loss. LOL
