1. Fire Karl (Brian Shaw is still available I hear )

2. Trade Cousins, but you'll never see fair value for him, you've seen some low-ball offers now, wait until he asks for a trade !!

Why is this even acceptable?

Shaw wants to play a style that would be very conducive to the current Kings roster IMO.

Ask IND people, he was great there. He wants to play a defensive minded half-court game....don't you think that could describe half your roster. In DEN we are/were suited to play a running style, our players were geared towards that, thus his failure. I can see it as a viable option in SAC, who would you take right now, Shaw or Karl ??

I rather look for other options before considering Shaw, imo. Some of the stuff I read about Shaw in Denver was cringeworthy.

Biggest problem I had with Shaw was him calling out players in public....very unprofessional IMO

Give me an example of Karl doing it then we could compare, Shaw slammed guys, don't recall any of Karl's footprints on the neck of his players, although I could be wrong,

Of course, why the **** wouldn't you want him though? Karl is a moron.

Kings wins in the last 7 years:

2009 - 17
2010 - 25
2011 - 24
2012 - 22
2013 - 28
2014 - 28
2015 - 29

What I don't understand is why everyone is acting like Cousins is some kind of savior. He hasn't shown he is a difference maker on the level of Lebron, Durant, or Davis. Anthony Davis went to a worse situation than the Kings and he has his team on the cusp of being a 50 win team in the West. Look at the Pelicans win totals since Davis came on board:

2013 - 27
2014 - 34
2015 - 45

Now these are not apples to apples situations but can anyone legitimately say Monty Williams is a better coach than any of the past Kings coach's or that the Pelicans have significantly better talent than the Kings? Plus it is not as is Demarcus does not come with his own issues on the court as well. I do not see Cousins name anywhere leading in the advanced metrics, if you are making an argument for Cousins it's based purely on PPG and REB.

Demarcus is not found in the top 20 in the following:

VORP
WS (offensive nor defensive)
DRtg
ORtg

He is 10th in Def +/-, 15th in Box +/-, 3rd in USG, 16th in Block %, 4th in REB%, 7th in PER.

Now his production is pretty good, but his USG is high as hell so he should have the counting stats. What is more telling is what impact does that have on the rest of the team? Offensively the Kings were 14th in offense (not overly talented but middle of the road team), but on defense where big men should have the most impact the Kings are 27th in defense.

Cousins doesn't help the offense by turning the ball over 4.3 times a game which is nearly double of any other King and he is 2nd in the NBA in that category behind Russell Westbrook and ahead of Lebron. In fact you do not find another big man with that many TOV until you get to Josh Smith who turned the ball over 2.5 times. Then Demarcus can't stay on the court because he is the league leader in fouls at 4.1 a game, the only player in the league who fouls at least 4 times a game. The next highest is crazy Larry Sanders at 3.9 fouls.

So I get where some people hear the name "Demarcus Cousins" and assume oooooohhh talented big guy, you have to do everything to keep him happy. Yet in this perimeter oriented NBA Cousins style of play is not where the game is trending. He isn't like Davis who can play inside and out and defend in a multitude of ways. I'm not even going to get into his attitude which is tolerable at best and detrimental/devisive at worst.

Also I think the Kings would take the #2 pick or young talent if they had the time to develop them but management feels they need to put a winning producto on the court this season. Then be playoff contenders the following seasons to keep fans paying for the high priced tickets for the new arena. The Kings are in a tough situation, they need to win now but everyone is not on the same page. They need to start from scratch and build around a young talent like the Thunder/Pelicans have done. Personally, I don't see Cousins ever being a winner, he is a worse Dwight Howard imo, better offense, worse defense and a crappy attitude.......

Nailed it,I like Cousins game but he has issues and isn't a top ten or even fifteen player in the league.People around here are acting like he's LeBron,Davis,Curry,Durant...ect If I had to pick between a HOF coach that always gets his teams into the playoffs(yes I know he get KO'ed way to much in the 1st round) or a big man thats talented but has issues and never has won in the NBA that right now with good contract and is getting into his prime can land me a player or players that can help me win now and also has the upside to be as good as the player I am trading out or even better I move him.

Sac's owner looking like a real rook.

Hires a coach, then a GM. Fires the coach while DMC is out. Promotes Corbin. Hires second GM without firing the first one. Fires interin coach to rush a deal with Karl who now is trying to trade DMC behind his back.

Wait, didn't Kings fans all get together and push for them to hire Karl in the first place?

This news just sucks. But sadly, it was kind of predictable when he was hired.

Wow, I was joking about that yesterday and I am not shocked in the slightest, but just wow. I went from desperately wanting the man to get a job to wanting him fired and never hired again in the span of a few months.
