Only warriors fans, and you know deep down that some of the old school hard core fans like Danny Tanner know it's bull and have lost some respect for KD.

Did you forget that before Lebron left his best teammate he ever played with was MO WILLIAMS?

Well he was an all star lol. So LeBron's allowed to be on a super team because he couldn't win?? His mega team literally steam rolled the east setting many records along the way and then went on to beat the 73-9 best regular season team of all time. I guess I should feel bad for LeBron...he has had it rough. Can't be mad at one and not the other. Durant wussed out and LeBron did it too. If Durant wins even 1 ring he isn't a loser anymore no matter what. Just like LeBron did to get rid of the choker label.

LeBron's Cavs "mega-team" was one of the worst teams in the league by record, SRS and NetRtg without him.
Durant's new team was beating playoff teams even without its best player, the MVP of the last 2 years.
The supporting cast Durant LEFT was better than the one on LeBron's "mega-team" and just entering its prime age-wise. He almost won against the Warriors while playing much worse than LeBron (hilariously even shooting 3s at close to 10% lower percentage).
His new "supporting cast" would be the title favorite without him.

I don't blame Durant for living his life the way he wants to (aside from publicly insinuating his old mates are selfish, joyless bores that are no fun to be around and have no idea how to properly play basketball) but in terms of competitiveness his move is less justifiable than LeBron leaving the Cavs for the Warriors would have been.

You missed my point completely... it is simpler that way I guess. I will rephrase, you have no idea at all who doesn't text to whom during the playoffs. You don't know to whom Lebron texts during the playoffs. You don't know to whom Steph texts during the playoffs. You don't know to whom Westbrook texts during the playoffs. Neither of us can know how commonplace texting friends on other teams is during the playoffs. My opinion is I have no way of knowing as opposed to your opinion that you somehow know, one is an informed opinion and the other isn't (unless you work for the NSA).

Except we do know this text did happen. Which is the problem. And I guarantee Russ wasn't texting opponents.

honestly it sounds like saltiness from other fans. i would think lebron fans would be more be understanding, i mean his team went to the finals, then the cavs had that 7 game series against the eventual world champion celtics, turned around and won 66 and 61 games, and yet he still left. now i would have liked to see durant and westbrook give it at least one more try myself, but to act like this wasn't just done in miami is crazy, and once lebrn won folks let that mess go. the same thing will happen with durant. he's not riding anyone's coattails and he's a top talent in this league no matter what team he is playing on.

Anyone can bash Durant except LeBron fans. The guy teamed up with a top 3 player and a 25/10 PF in the Eastern Conference to win, and when the two declined he jumps ship to join a top 5 PG and arguably the best big man in the league at the time.

Remember when Kareem went to Lakers? Wilt Chamberlain? Shaq? Karl Malone and Payton to Lakers? Pau Gasol to Lakers? KG and Ray Allen to Celtics?

Ya'll act like this has happened for the first time ever in this sport. Can't control their decision. Deal with it or cry a river somewhere.

your the one who doesnt remember those moments. Kareem and wilt were traded, and the teams they joined werent as good as the warriors. Shaq joined a Lakers team that was bounced in the first round the year before. Malone and Payton were wayyy past their primes. Gasol was traded, was not an mvp caliber player, and the year before Lakers won 42 games and Kobe was demanding a trade. KG and Allen were traded to a boston team that was nowhere near contention before their arrival.

The examples you gave is irrelevant to what KD did. It really doesn't make a point in anything. What KD has done has never been done before. All the players you pointed out were either traded to their respective teams or were FAs joining a team that weren't contenders (excluding Karl Malone and Payton). The Celtics, Lakers, and the Heat weren't contenders PRIOR to players getting traded or signed. This is the first time a Top 3 player in the league joined a historic team that won 73 games and made it to the Finals and were 1 win away from winning it all. I really don't understand why people bring up the past when it's like comparing apples to oranges

Let's not beat around the bush here. Curry is a top basketball player, Klay isn't. Lebron and Kyrie are a tier above Klay. To even things out a bit, you now have Curry and Durant, two top players versus two other top players in Lebron and Kyrie. It's the top players that win the finals, and now it has evened out.

I'm embarrassed for him when I'm watching him on the bench cheering on the guys that beat him last season because he choked.

What?!!! Klay Thompson is a way better player than Kyrie Irving. Up until the finals one might not know the difference between Kyrie and JR Smith.....and I'm talking JR Smith on the Knicks and Nuggets. Please let's stop with this Kyrie the superstar talk. He has one good series.

Thompson is a star player dude. Why can't people just give him credit. Hes the best defensive SG in the league and pretty much averages 30 the second Curry sits down.

I don't even care about this silly Durant bitch fest but Thompson is not so far below Curry in my opinion

I am bulls fan and don't care. We ain't competing for ****. Maybe in two years I'll care more. Western conference fans will now understand exactly what Lebron lead team feels like.

NBA fan logic we need to trade one of two best players because (Player X) one needs to shine more.

He made the best decision for him. It remains to see if it'll pan out the way he envisioned but it doesn't look any worse when he brings it up. I still will root against them but that would've happened regardless if KD was there or not. Now this just means I can't root for KD for the time being. He's still my boy though.
