Its still not the defense that’s the problem. Yeah they’ve looked meh the games against Toronto and Cleveland defensively. They’re without their best defender in Smart and the defense is still ranked #1. The issue isn’t really there, it’s the offense and has been the offense all year that has been the problem. If anything that is “average” it’s the offense which as of right now is below average.


I actually don’t disagree with you that the offence seems to be the bigger problem. I was just referring more to the 15th ranked D over the past 5 games in addition to that.

Like I said, I’m more confident in the defense once Smart comes back. There’s surely to be moments and has like when you made this thread of the Celtics slipping on defense for a few games before picking it back up. That’s been the theme of the Celtics since they won 16 in a row, lots of ups and downs. Winning streaks of 4 followed by losing streaks of 3 games and 4 nights. Defense remains to be the most consistent part of their team, offense is the opposite.
