Duffy is an experienced agent. He will lay out the options for his client.
In my view, Doncic could be the best player ever to come out of Europe, and that's saying alot. He has the leverage to steer himself to a winning NBA franchise if that's what he wants to do. But certainly it's not in his best interests at this point to badmouth the Suns or the Kings, which might scare them away. He will make more money if he is drafted #1 or #2 instead of #4 or #5, and going to Memphis or Dallas is not much of an improvement over Phoenix or Sacramento.
I’m only going to ask you about your first sentence. Do you honestly think he doesn’t know what he wants to do? If you think that you seriously don’t know much about Luka. He is ultra competitive and has always, always wanted to play in the NBA. Honestly why is it so hard to believe the obvious conclusion here? Which is he absolutely will and wants to join the NBA. But, he won’t do it while disrespecting his current team, coaches, fans and support staff. Think about it for a minute and you will find that you would do the same in his shoes.
He has the best options possible at the moment, Suns coach at #1, Bogdan, Vlade, Peja and the Kings at #2.
Koko speaks with him every week and Bogdan has spoken to him already since the lottery and he would love to be teammates with him.
