Athletically impressive? LeBron, Giannis, and Derrick Rose.

How impressive they look at their best? LeBron, Curry, Durant.

Impressive by how they play the game? LeBron, Nash, CP3.

I started watching basketball in 2002.

I dont think any of us have seen a dominant Lebron tbh. Just once I want to see a me first Lebron from wire to wire. Lebron probably the most reserved monster of all time.

So much nostalgia bias.

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, and for honorable mention Jimmy.

He spits hot fire.

Jordan (not the 1st 3 titles, I only saw those on youtube)
LeBron
Shaq

Those were the most dominant dudes I saw until today in no particular order. There is a reason why I have the 3 of them in the mix for the best peak ever, along with Hakeem who I saw a lot but not live. (not his best years, 93 and 94)

1. Bird -- many amazing plays
2. Lebron -- physical domination/annihilation delivered by a perimeter player
3. Walton -- "goalie" defensive center in college, waiting for and stymying fast breaks

Caught late 3peat Jordan.

For me its

Kobe (insanely skilled and 06-07 Kobe was better than even I could have imagined)

Curry (revolutionized the game and co-anchor for the GOAT team)

Durant (perfect modern day frontcourt player with unmatched length and skill in history haters be damned)

LeBron, MJ and Shaq. Admittedly, I was too young to really witness MJ and even Shaq probably too young to understand the true brevity of how amazing he was. I know Hakeem would probably be on this list as well if I had seen more of him. Again, didn't really get to see him other then highlights.

Vince Carter - in his youth & prime he was must see TV. He was regularly doing jaw dropping dunks, dunking in traffic, and also his game had a swagger & aesthetic that was pleasing to watch. Away crowds cheered & clamored for his dunks, he was the highlight on ESPN every night & was the top vote getter in the NBA All-Star game for years. His name & Raptors Jersey's were on music videos. It was Vinsanity.

Shaquille O'Neal - from the get go this guy was the most physically dominant player I've seen and even LBJ hasn't surpassed that. Even as a rookie you would wonder how anyone can stop this guy from getting position and dunking on their head and if he didn't, then how would they stop him from grabbing offensive rebounds...any dunking on their heads. Like a vet polished battle tested Patrick Ewing always looked overwhelmed against Shaq. It was like watching a video game cheat code or flaw where the player controlling Shaq just had to press the dunk button and it didn't matter if someone was in front of him, the dunk animation would just start and that's it.

Steph Curry - the greatest shooter in NBA history? You though Dell Curry was a 3pt cheat code spam and then his Son is like version 5.0. Quick release, can change release points depending on circumstance, everything looks like it's going in, range from everywhere, sometimes he doesn't even seem to even look at the basket or only has a glimpse of it before releasing for the swish. Doesn't need much if any space to get his shot off. Again when he's on, he looks like a cheese move from a video game...green circle everytime.
