I believe that’s why Pat Riley and LeBron clashed. After a game in Cleveland LeBron wanted to stay longer and fly down later on a private. Riley told Spo to tell him to get his ass on the team plane and fly back together or there would be discipline.
Riley is old old school. He knows a bad locker room is a significant problem.

The other thing that pissed off Lebron in Miami was that Riley wouldn't give his Klutch buddies (i.e. posse), Rich Paul, Maverick, etc..., the same unlimited access that they had in Cleveland. That was critical to them building their agency business.
