Oh he'll come back for game 1 and probably torch it and everybody will immediately forget about it and unfortunately reenforce that behavior.

Is it fairly certain that this video is him and taken recently?

This should have already happened. The fact this dude is still getting paid refusing to play is a joke

Looks like they are celebrating Kyrie's sister's 30th birthday. She turned 30 yesterday. The balloons in the background read AIXXX (Asia Irving 30) and the bday cake has a 30 on it as well I think.

Why can't they do a small gathering with just all the close families members, smh. Kyrie is a hypocrite, he's one of those dude that think they are smarter than they are because they read a couple books.

He's like Leonardo Dicaprio, preach about global warming but own a yacht and fly on private jet...

Outside of actually playing basketball, Kyrie is literally the poster boy for the Dunning-Kruger effect.

You can't possibly think there isn't a difference...

None of us get to just not show up to our jobs indefinitely for "undisclosed personal reasons" and still get paid in full. These guys are in the lime light and making 10's of millions of dollars per year, being a good teammate and role model for others come with the job. If he was playing that'd be one thing, but he's not, so it's just not a good look. Not like he cares...

Not surprised. Hes a flat-earther. And most flat-earthers are also anti-vaxxers who believe in conspiracy theories including covid being a hoax. So not surprised the dude isn't following protocol. He will fall in line after he gets dinged with fines and suspensions. All these idiots stick to their fake beliefs until you hurt them where it really hurts - their wallets.

Good. Kyrie shouldn't be getting paid and should be heavily fined for sitting out games just because he feels like it. Shame on the Brooklyn Nets organization for not growing a spine and fine him like they should.

He's going to keep walking all over Nash/Marks. He knows they won't hold him accountable.

Welcome to the player empowerment era - when star players can literally not play and get paid lol.

I don't understand how any Nets fans can root for this guy. I'd tell him to take a hike

"Hey man...I'm not just a basketball player you know? Stop trying to control my life. Chill." But you are being paid millions and there is a pandemic and you risk spreading it to your team and the league. "Wow man....why ya got to be such a downer".

Seriously though....if all the maskless cool chill interaction is for real...this guy should just be banned for the season. NBA needs to drop the hammer on the "masks cramp my style" BS.

I mean...there's clearly a massive difference between walking alone outside and partying inside with a large group, but you must not have been watching the news this past week if you think any group is more self-righteous than anti-maskers.

My sisters and I had a bday party for my mom and we all wore masks. It was only for a few hours out of the day. I will be honest, I don't think the masks even do much to reduce the spread. Everyone here in Los Angeles have been wearing masks for the last 8 months and it still spread like wildfire. I think the main reason it is spreading is because of family gatherings where people feel comfortable and forget all the protocols. So we still wore the masks just in case, for the safety of our elderly parents. Gatherings like the one Kyrie was in, are in my opinion the biggest reason this thing continues to spread. It's not the general public, it's these type of private gatherings. It's irresponsible. Just my humble opinion of course.
