If he's willing to play for Utah I think that would be a good fit. Either that or Miami.

Several, last year the Markieff Morris, Dwight, a few years ago Belinelli & Illyasova for Philly was huge. I remember Boris Diaw for the Spurs and PJ Brown for Boston too when they won the chip was huge.

He's a bad shooter, lost his athletism, and doesn't play defense. He's about to turn 32 with his best days well behind him. Not to mention he can't stay healthy.

That's a lot of money, but it's for two years and he had more money left than what you normally see.

Blake would have a more crucial role on the Lakers. His playmaking would help a lot and he'd easily just take Markieffs minutes.

Not sure Blake is going to be better than Green on the Nets, at least for the role they want him to play. But he's good insurance and could be really good.

Lakers lose out here I think

As we get closer to the playoffs Blakes play making ability over Markieff becomes irrelevant. Lebron will start to monopolizing the ball as we move forward. I expect Dennis to control the ball less as well. For the lakers, and the way the team is constructed I think Markieff is a better fit. He hit 42% on 3's last year in the playoffs. Thats what we need.

if the lakers get healthy i like our chances out west against anybody, but in the finals it really would be Lebron & AD vs the NJ Monstars if they remain healthy , having said that Lakers in 7.

Not sure what makes you think that Nets are going to be relying on Blake Griffin.

Well since he wanted this buy out and all I would think that he would want to work on his game so that he can contribute to whatever possible contender who picks him up. It's not impossible for him to improve defensively or learn to take smarter shots in a good offensive game plan.

That's true. Lakers lineup for playoffs will be:

PG: Schroeder (30) | LeBron (18)
SG: Caruso (28) | Matthews/THT (20)
SF: KCP (24) | Kuzma (24)
PF: LeBron (20) | Davis (18) | Markieff (10)
C : Davis (20) | Harrell (20) | Gasol (8)

Weak point is still the backup wings with 44 minutes shared between Kuzma, Matthews, THT

I dont think THT see's regular minutes in the playoffs. I also think unlike last year Kuz minutes will go up. Mattews is a total question mark. I havent been impressed with him at all. If we can get Ariza that would be a good get. Bring him home to LA.

I know 61 mil sounds like alot, but the 13.3 mil Blake gave up is ridiculous as well. The Pistons made out well in this ordeal.

Well both THT and Matthews seem unreliable. Not a fan of Kuz yet but he seems to be a little better than last season.

A trade of Markieff, Matthews and THT for a reliable 3+D player would be very good for the Lakers.

Boo!!

Kief was great for us and will be a dependable stretch 4/5. Matthews has good playoff exp with Bucks and will find his shot. Lastly, THT is that raw rookie who has be a defensive wing.

You want to trade all these depth pieces?

In a weird way I agree. Blake has played so washed up that even if Detroit had found a way to trade him with minimal incentive attached they'd have to take back so much dead money to make it worth it for the other team that there'd be no point...

The problem is Lakers have to balance today vs tomorrow. THT is not ready but in 3 years is he ready to be a running mate for AD?

I know its not a popular opinion but Drummond would be better for us. Even Hassan.
Their egos are the biggest issue though. If we can make Dwight work, I think we could pull it off.
I don't think Kieff is that much worse than Blake is right now. Kieff wasn't even getting minutes when we were healthy. So Blake would be in the same situation.

I watched Drummond on the Pistons since he was a rookie, he has never had the proper environment for him to succeed

He put up empty stats early on in his career and no one ever had the guts to tell him he doesnt deserve the touches

Pretty sure LeBron James and Anthony Davis would convince Drummond to STFU and play for his next big bag

Drummond comes to LA, he is obsessed with celebrity culture/being famous/warm weather who isnt, wins a chip with the Lakers or at least puts up big numbers in a deep playoff run - both Lakers and Drummond benefit

Nets messed up big time, Drummond would have helped them a lot more than Blake

I don't really think it's necessary to plan too far ahead when you can win right now.

Getting another big FA to play with AD in LA would be easy if LeBron retires
