And so-called draft “experts” looking bad… as usual. When will people learn not to listen to those guys.

Mock drafts are never right and these experts get it wrong just like fans, and that's a fact.

It's genuinely funny that people were writing him off as a bust already.

Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of meme-ing about his 'Draft Report weaknesses image', which was a pretty stupid summary, to be frank. However, some people were genuinely just disinterested in him as a prospect.

He's got risks, as do basically all prospects, but he has really nice upside too.

If you watched the game he clearly didn't. Had a stretch where he missed 4 easy shots in a row/took tough shots but played good defense, showed extreme range on the three, hustled, made good passes. Rookie mistakes will definitely happen and going against Marcus Smart/Robert Williams is a good first welcoming.

didnt watch but the moment masai took barnes over suggs something was up. i mean suggs would have to be roy to out play draft position. and he has less margin of error to make mistakes bc hes a higher floor type. barnes should be the one struggling.
this is not just suggs. kuminga too sort of red flag when okc didnt blink an eye not that i think giddey is any good.

Dude it was one game.. You are acting like we are 40 games into the season lol. Suggs defensively is going to be a problem. 2 blocks from your PG, one of those blocks being on Tatum who is 4-5 inches taller. I am not worried about Suggs at all. I truly dont think he is a PG though which is what he played tonight. I think getting Fultz back will let him focus on scoring the ball more than facilitating. Hes going to have bad shooting nights thats what happens, but I also do expect some nights where he lights it up. Remember its only been one preseason game lol

People learned nothing from Doncic. You dont need elite quick twitch to get open in this league. Josh has the handle and stop/start/speed adjustment skillset that just allows himself to get open at will. Not to mention he is really big.

He should be able to put up 15ppg/5rpg/4apg as a rookie. The % will be interesting, he shot the 3 well last night but I think he starts as a 32% or so 3PT guy who improves to around 38-40 as he develops. And he will get better, the kid eats and breathes basketball.

OKC made the right pick and I have said this since the moment he was drafted.

Taking a lot from 1 preseason game is dumb and i think Suggs will end up being fine. That said, i never saw this high level offensive guard he was touted as (when he was constantly mocked as a top 4 pick). I think he'll play well off of another creator and be able to fit into most lineups by doing a lot of things at a decent level, but I never saw him as having star offensive potential

Suns appear slow. Will be last year's Heat. No doubt.

Nah, while idk if they make ut back to the finals. A lot would have to break their way again like it did last season where they just clicked at the right time. But they def can get back there and Booker could potentially be even better this season and almost undoubtedly Ayton will be better as he's very young and still coming into his own. Finals or no Finals you guys got a really solid team atm. Just pray the wheels don't fall off of CP3.

Warriors put up 69 three's last night? WHAT IN THE ACTUAL ****. They didn't attempt more than 54 in a game all of last season.

and that was without Klay!

Poole was making a splash from the 3 pt line all the way out to the logo off the dribble. Dude has put in more work than anyone on the team and looks ready to make an impact in his third year. Not saying he will hit 7 threes a game but he can fill in until Klay returns and then be a spark plug off the bench.

Adding Porter JR and Nemanja Bjelica will space the floor and keep the ball humming IF they can stay healthy.

Should pencil us in for the mighty 11 seed.

Haliburton is going to be a top-5 PG in league one day. He's ridiculously talented and actually a solid scorer and defender. I'd trade anyone not named Zach Lavine for him on the Bulls.

This season it looks like the Celtics will live and die by Tatum.

It's 'time' to see what the lord can do playing starter minutes.

I thought they were going to be good, but from what I saw last night, I feel they will be really something to be reckon with.
The exhibition was without Butler and Dipo.

Every team lives and dies by their best player to some extent. But if you'd watched last night (which I imagine you prob didn't since you were watching your Raps game), that would have been an odd takeaway. Jaylen was the one who came out hot and did most of the scoring last night. And the ball was zipping around much more than last year's team, which is the main focus of our new coach (unselfishness). And the C's are much deeper with competent vets now. So I'd actually expect us to live and die by Tatum less so than previously.

Also, in response to Ducklett, no one was "freaking out" because we won a preseason game over Orlando. It was more we were happy that Romeo Langford, who's struggled with injuries and isn't known as a shooter, confidently hit the game winning 3. So that was a nice moment for our young fella and fun for his teammates and Celtics fans. Had nothing to do with the opponent.

Yeah that was a super impressive defensive sequence from Suggs last night. Somehow blocked layup attempts from both Tatum and Rob Williams in a span of like 10 seconds. He looked good to me. It's not easy to score a ton of points in your first game with Smart draped all over you.

It'll be interesting to see if Tatum can break into the no doubt superstardom tier this season.

I sure hope so! Obviously haha. I mean I already think of him as a superstar but yeah hopefully he takes another step this year and is seen that way universally. He looked noticeably stronger and wider in the shoulders last night and had a couple big boy finishes at the rim that he prob couldn't have done in the past. That's been an area of potential improvement for him, finishing through contact and getting to the line more. And he has a great mindset and keeps adding skills to his bag, so I'm excited.

Hey congrats on Scottie btw. He looks awesome. I love his spirit, size and confidence. A guy every team would love and he has lots of upside.

I apologize because my statement wasn't clear. I meant the people on the TV broadcast screaming and freaking out in the stadium, not you fine folks on the boards. I understand that they were just having fun, I was just being catty mostly.
