can't even imagine how many 'Cade is a bust' threads we would be getting if Cade was playing like Jalen Green has this preseason

If I was the Rockets I'd just cut Wood and KPJ. I think both aren't winning players and they're going to take the bulk of the shots.

Suggs is in the same boat in Orlando. RJ, Harris, Ross, Cole, Moore all need shots. He tries to be unselfish and hand it off, but he doesn't get it back.

nothing cringy about it. Jalen has struggled so far. That doesn't change what he can become.

yeah wth. it's no secret he needs to work on his body and bring other aspects to his game other than chucking 3s. nothing cringe about the criticism.

Can we really say Giddey is by far the best passer in the draft when we haven’t seen Cade yet and Scottie averaged more assists in less minutes and with less usage?

Not saying Scottie is a better passer but I think there’s definitely an argument is there for him and there’s no “by far best passer”

Green was supposed to be the most NBA Ready because of the G League. I feel like he is going to put up points this year because of his athleticism and shots he gets but he is likely going to be really inefficient offensively.

well not even playing preseason hurts more and looks like he wont play october. i wouldnt be shocked if he got the wiseman treatement. green was supposed to raw like edwards so expect him to play like a bust before he figures out. cade not so much he was drafted for high floor and number 1 pick. im not going to condone cade busting as much as green in 1st yr. both are letdown deceiving their height by 2 full inches i expect a 7foot mobley to be the best player. was always wondering where is that all nba type all yr along.

Yes we can lol. Even pre draft it was clear giddey is a much better passer than cade, cade isn’t even top 5 passer in the draft. Barnes is good but he doesn’t have the flair of giddey. The only one that compares is shariffe

“Flair” isn’t what makes a player a good passer lol. And Scottie has made several flashy passes as well anyways

What really matters is Assist/turnover ratio and advanced stats:
Scottie had 5.6 assists to 1.8 turnovers
Giddey had 5.0 assists to 2.2 turnovers

Scottie had 29.6 Ast% on 17.8% usg
Giddey had 29.9 Ast% on 21% usg

Based on this, Barnes is the better passer

Turnovers aren't directly caused by bad passes and the quality of a pass doesn't mean it will lead to an assist. Team sport and all that. Using assist% and usage% to judge someone's passing is one of the stupidest thing i've seen.

there's a good compilation of giddey's potential assists out there. Suggest you to check it out, and hopefully you'll realize that using straight up counting stats (and no, assist% and usg% aren't "advanced stats") to judging someone's passing is useless
