Congrats to all the players who made the ASG. I like the selections. Happy for my guy Tatum and, for some reason I can't really figure out, I'm especially happy for FVV.

I imagine Hornets fans have the biggest gripe right now. I thought Lamelo would make it, or even Bridges. I also thought Jarrett Allen was close to a lock. But all the guys who made it are deserving so I don't know who you take off. Lots of talent in the league.

Vanvleet should of made it Garland should not.

Garland deserves it far more than VanVleet does.

With the way standings are teams 1-10 in the East really deserve one each in the game.

Bulls really the only team you can justify two all stars for

Murray should be in over Mitchell. Who cares about wins. Mitchell is useless without Gobert.

Its easy. Jayson Tatum is off the team & Middleton should of never made it. Allen should of made it over Garland.

What is it with some Raptors fans and calling everyone that disagrees with them casuals? No, I do not believe FVV is better than Ball or Allen. No, that does not make me a casual.

I’m not a Raptors fan but FVV truly is one of the ultimate casual filters. If you don’t recognize how impactful he is, it’s either because you haven’t watched him or you don’t understand what you’re seeing when you do.

If someone doesn't watch the Raptors they're a casual LOL hate to break it to people but no one here watches all 30 teams on a regular basis. So, I agree, very flawed logic.

He has a decent shot as an injury replacement for Green or if LeBron doesn't play too. I believe that's ultimately up to Silver though

I obviously don't agree with you but everyone has their own opinion. Tatum is a perennial All star and y'all will just have to accept it haha. Dude is really good at basketball.

Middleton got snubbed last year & got snubbed for All-NBA 2 years ago.

When are people going to acknowledge that he’s actually a good player?

I don't think Bridges has been all-star worthy, but to not have Melo is ridiculous. We're the only East team in the top 10 that doesn't have an all-star? That's nuts.

Lamelo should have made it over Tatum, Holiday over Middleton.

Good on the coaches for putting Garland over Allen though.

Allen should have made it over Garland. Oh well I'm sure there will be plenty of declines this year, the game being in Cleveland

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Fred Van Vleet. The skills he shows are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of advanced NBA concepts and metrics like TS% and RAPM most of his impact go over a typical viewer's head.

Garland deserves it far more than VanVleet does.

I cant believe im stepping in to defend a raptor, but the Garland choice is farfetched at best. Its appears to be political choice because the game is being played in Cleveland. Allen or Mobley would have been better choices if they wanted a Cav

Okay, so please do explain how VanVleet deserves it more. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Saying that Mobley deserves it more than Garland tells me I shouldn't even bother talking to you because it's pretty clear you haven't watched a single Cavaliers game or paid attention to what's been going on there. But I'll bite.

Garland is arguably the best player on a team that is having the best turnaround of the season (and that part isn't arguably no matter how you spin it) and has constantly led Cleveland to wins down the stretch. He is critical to Cleveland's success and we're seeing how much they are struggling without him right now. I mean, they literally just lost to Houston of all teams and struggled to beat New Orleans (Detroit winning was due to Cunningham going off).

Nothing about this is political at all.

And for the record, I'm not saying VanVleet doesn't deserve an all star selection. I'm saying Garland deserves it far more than he does. There is a difference.
