If the Kings can swing Holmes, Bagley and whatever else it takes for the Pistons to bite, they should trade for Jerami Grant. Then look to acquire a shooting guard that can start or at least be a rotation piece. If they can't get Grant, they should try and get Marcus Smart if they have the parts to make a trade.

Fox/Davion
J.Holiday/Lamb/Ramsey/Terence Davis (hurt)
Grant/Harkless/King
Barnes/Metu/Woodard
Sabonis/Len/Damian Jones

That bench still sucks, so whatever they do, it's obvious this team still has a lot of work to do.

Not a wise decision even if they did acquire Domantas Sabonis.

Hailburton and Domantas Sabonis would of been a nice combination. Ugh, Sacramento!

Typical Kings giving up on their drafted players way too early.

Sabonis needs a big man who can stretch the floor. Kings have none of them. Kings also have no defense. This is not a good pairing.

Domas/Fox is a duo that deserves the benefit of the doubt. There's chemistry to be figured out but if they click and make the playoffs the Kings undoubtedly win(or co-win) the trade. Haliburton is a great young player but at 24/25 years of age the Fox/Sabonis duo are in their primes and will be for at least another 4-5 years. The one things the Kings still need are a dynamic shooting guard to start alongside Fox unless Terrence Davis can mature into that. Unfortunately, he's done for the season. Lamb bros going to be pressed into big minutes right away.

If this 2021/22 iteration of Fox is him in his prime then you're a lot more optimistic about the Kings playoff hopes than I am.

Haliburton's greatest strength is his playmaking ability, so how is he anything like Martin? You must have looked no further than frame and shooting form to reach that conclusion.

i'm talking overall impact. i mean he's young and alot can change, all i'm saying is that i'm not 100% all in on him being some sort of franchise cornerstone.

So you thought about ‘impact’ and the guy that coincidentally comes to mind is someone who kind of looks like Haliburton from afar and when he shoots? That's a bit too convenient to be based on a thorough analysis of the player, to be honest.

I still can't believe the Kings gave up on the super promising young player who wanted to be there, and I'm a big fan of Sabonis so it annoys me that this is where he landed

They also have Brogdon and their rookie Duarte is a good player. They lack depth on the wing, but they have several playmakers now and still have great frontcourt depth.

About 20 years ago I did get to speak with Rick Carlisle when he was in Hawaii at a big man camp.

Indiana really got them.

They already know Isaiah Jackson is going to be a beast and I think this kid halyburton might be in the Hall of Fame someday and sorry for the typo
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I am a bit confused by the amount of people who believe the Pacers won this trade. I am not saying Haliburton isn't a good and it might just be me but it feels like Sabonis is undervalued and Haliburton's potential is overvalued in this particular case.

I like this for the Kings. Sabonis is a great all-around player and the fact that the Kings keep their draft capital intact is great (although they tend to screw up with their picks)

The Pacers are rebuilding with this move. Sophomore Haliburton is a better rebuilding piece than any future pick unless it's top 3 perhaps. Not to mention that they are looking at a better lottery pick this year, in addition to the pick they got for trading LeVert and whatever asset they may get for Hield/Turner/Brogdon down the road.

I don't disagree with this I just think for Indiana and Sacramento the focus should be on tanking and stock piling picks.

I'm not upset, I'm just reacting to a bad take on a forum. Pretty standard stuff.

He exposed himself against the Sixers with his last second failed shot attempt.

Are you really gonna judge a 21 year old based on 1 play and ignore the rest of the body of work?

His body of work is addressed in my post. It all comes on a losing team. The very same inferior shooting technique was exposed in the way people projected it would be in the NBA. There are plenty more players like Haliburton that will be producing well on losing teams moving forward. People view while looking at the NBA's past comparing him to past NBA players not looking at the way the game is quickly changing. Remember Tyreke Evans?
