He's absolutely delusional. He needs a basketball intervention.

He’s a guy who only does things HIS way & when things don’t go well, everyone else involved is at fault.
People like that believe that everything they do is justified & if you don’t agree, then you just don’t understand.
Sucks when they are ur parent..but i was thinking damn how does his wife deal with that everyday
I can only imagine.
Guys like him would rather triple down on being wrong instead of admitting when someone else is right.
I don’t think he’ll last a full season after his current deal ends.

Russ showing that classic self awareness that he’s know for.

You look at Westbrook and right now with his current physical talents, if placed in the nba draft he would still be a lottery pick.
It just that he physically can’t do things anymore like he used to. He doesn’t have the mental insight to know his current limitations. He still has a great motor(I mean he is in amazing shape) but his role and mindset has to be changed.
He is likely going to fall off hard because he just doesn’t know how to play a role.
I know we all have seen the meme, “I am a point guard… not a pass guard.”
Well he really need to check his shot selection and passing. I know it must be hard for him to go 100% balls to the wall and then realize it isn’t enough and even worse, he umm sucks compared to how he was just several years ago.
Players know when they lose a step and the ego that made him a mvp player is also the one that his hindering him from playing better because in his mind, he is still the alpha male in a game.

Russ these days just reminds me of the old AND-1 mixtape tours where the on court announcer would just be narrating a dude dribbling through the legs staring a defender down "looking at it, he's looking at it" except then Russ throws up a shot that hits only backboard.

Everyone turns to look at a spectacular car crash.
During LeBron's first year in LAL, I listened to a bunch of Lakers podcasts to enjoy the schadenfreude, and I remember two pod hosts saying, "Man, the pod has exploded this year. Funny thing is, we get even more listeners after we lose than after we win." I was like, "They know who I am."

Hey at least you have self awareness. unlike Westbrook. The irony of this matter is that a lot of posters situation about secretly loving the entertainment the Lakers bring them day in and day out, but not realizing it, is just like the lack of self awareness westbrook has.

That's kind of the internet experience: a bunch of people saying, "Why are we talking about this?"

But yeah, the fan experience is a lot more fun with teams to root against. Otherwise, it'd be like Star Wars with no Vader, etc.. So, I actually appreciate each and every Laker fan, because they're essentially what makes LA the Evil Empire. And, needless to say, it's all just entertainment. I try not to get personal, though I admit I've failed at that before.

Haters.
Russ, thank you so much for this season. Hoping next year is just as great.

Which team should Russ go to next for maximum entertainment value?
I'm thinking Knicks or Nets.

Westbrook's career, trajectory and inefficiency align very well with Iverson's.

Props to Turbo_Zone for the sig.

I've seen some low light reels of Russ this season and that was still worse than I expected.

Sixers. He’s best friends with Harden and Embiid/joke

Honestly why would he even want to opt in when he knows that majority of Laker nation has turned on him? Regardless of who coaches this team next season there is no way he’s vindicating himself. And it’s clear that not having the fans support is taking an emotional toll on him. Just go try your luck elsewhere.

I'd like to see Westbrook on the Bucks. He's like a mini-Giannis in many ways. So why not have them both on the same team? They could be like Dr. Evil and Mini-Me.
I think Giannis is man enough to take on the challenge of winning Westbrook his first ring. Or is he not?
