How many times can we be fooled lol. Lebron will come back, AD will go back to having games where he's soft as hell. He will get dinged up. This is life.

But ya if he plays to his potential, they are definitely a team to watch. That deadline was perfect for their team.

This is the biggest takeaway of the evening. Truly insane to think about.

AD is putting up 26/12 for the entire season lol, what the hell do you mean go back to playing soft

Be injured? Yes. Play soft? Ugh no lol

And this is why I find AD to be the most frustrating player I’ve ever watched. He’s got mountains of talent and skill and when motivated he’s probably a top 5 player in the league. However, too often he reverts to this sidekick beta mentality and completely disappears when you need him the most. I wish I could say that his play during these last few games is a harbinger of what’s to come in the playoffs. But the truth is he’s just as likely to be a non factor assuming he’s not injured again.

If that comment was:

"How many times can we be fooled lol. By the time Lebron comes back, AD will go back to missing games where he's on the bench with street clothes. He will get dinged up. This is life. "

I woulda unfortunately agreed 100%.

But yeah not sure how the AD is soft when Lebron plays narrative is a thing

Idk man, he has big stretches where he doesn’t play aggressive when he’s not hurt. Sometimes it last a half then he turns it up, sometimes it lasts a week. This isn’t anything new. He was doing that same **** a few weeks ago and everyone was like “he’s clearly hurt he’s playing soft” only for him to actually be aggressive in the 2nd half. It’s just how he is

It was just a few games ago that AD looked mentally and physically checked out of this season. And now he’s tearing up former and current DPOY candidates…I really don’t understand this guy. Never in my years of watching basketball have I watched someone go from engaged to disengaged with such frequency.

Yeah, you watch games like this and remember that this guy was an MVP-level player a short time ago, and is still well in his prime.

AD what a game! Lakers might be better without LeBron.

Lakers have the 2nd best record in the West over the past 10 games (which was pretty much the deadline).

He'd never score a single point off a drive if the refs called every one of his carries.

They're tied with the Suns and Kings for 7 and 3, Nuggets at 8 and 2

That was the big complaint about Allen Iverson as well, he carried the ball all the time. I guess Reaves is in pretty good company there.

But really in both cases, it’s just a bunch of nonsense whining.

Seeing a lot more technicals being handed out, especially for talking to refs. Poole got T’d up for passing the ball to ref a tad disrespectfully. Maybe they’re trying to set the precedent before the playoffs in hopes to reduce lobbying for calls and ref management.
