I can't imagine anyone seriously giving Draymond any benefit of doubt at all for a situation like this in 2023 as if he hasn't been the lone player consistently having these "accidents" happen for years now. His athleticism and natural range of motion coincidentally keep changing depending on how close his opponent is to him and how angry he is at the moment. Give me a break.

He has to "put his foot somewhere" but made zero attempt to step over or around Sabonis. If Draymond was actually losing his balance like he said then why is he putting his foot straight down and not whatever direction he thinks he's going to fall?

Even then if you want to somehow believe that was an accident, to incite the crowd after potentially injuring the guy... there's just no angle to defend this. I hope he and the team understands if he has to miss next game(s) it was because he was being an obnoxious clown in this whole ordeal. No one on the Warriors putting a stop to that is so irresponsible.

From a competitive standpoint it sucks but a suspension is a no brainer.

Will be interested to see when an end of a bench player on the Warriors grabs Sabonis' ankles on "accident" and he gets hurt how the sentiment will be on GB. I already know how it's gonna go. People are going to call it a dirty play because an injury occurred.

Nobody keeps the same energy around here.

What makes Green even more insufferable is he does stuff like this on purpose, like stomps on people, kicks people in the junk, throws elbows in their faces or hip checks them, then bitches to the referees like he's the victim and they're being ridiculous for calling anything on him.

He already got a technical which is all that is deserved. When looked at from a proper angle, it was barely a grab at all.

There's a laundry list of non basketball players do all the time like pushing people in the back, hitting people in the back, grabbing and holding people's arms etc.

Normal reactions don't generally include punching people or stomping on them.

I also highly, highly doubt being 35 over got you a warning. And if you did, whichever area you are from most have the worst cops of all time.

Well he's saying that speeding punishment can be subjective, which is true in the US. I've been given a warning for going 20 over, which is what he said. When he went 35 over he got a ticket for going 10 over, sometimes cops will take pity on you; They still get their quota but don't hit you with reckless driving. I got caught doing 95 in a 65 and they wrote me up for 80. It probably helps that I have a completely clean record when they look me up, and I'm a middle aged white guy dressed "normally".

So to add onto your last part, Draymond is a complete repeat offender.

So we probably should take that not clean record into account and consider that he probably had some intent. This is not Mike Conley doing this

I think he clearly deserves a game, but on the other hand this series is more entertaining with him playing, and as an impartial fan that's the main thing I care about.

At the very least though, fine him the max $$ you can fine him.

I think they'll make him Director of Player Safety. Some day.

No because that's Draymond being Draymond. I'd love to see a similar dirty ankle grab from a random Warriors player on Sabonis though just to confirm what I know the reactions will be around here.

Other actions don't discredit or take way from the original action. People have a hard time being consistent around here with that unless it's a guy that has had history.

No because that's Draymond being Draymond.

And that's also why he's getting vilified around here. Because he acts like a **** lunatic after he's shown being dirty as hell.

This is honestly what should get him another game or two added onto the suspension:

The great thing is him getting suspended gives the steph stans a reprieve. #builtinexcuse

One game suspension but I have a difficult time believing that the league will give it to him. $50k fine is what my expectations are.

I'm not defending Draymond at all. My point isn't about Draymond. It's about Sabonis and his dirty antic as well, I don't care if he did it to Draymond Green or to Grayson Allen. Just because it happened to someone that is dirty doesn't absolve the initial dirty play.

Like I said - when Sabonis is the victim of the grab and gets hurt most people will call that a dirty play.

The main things for me are

1) green has a history of targeting other players, funny how all these "accidents" occur in the playoffs to the opponents best player

2) inciting the crowd. In south America or Europe he'd be in jail right now, could have started a riot. Did they even call a delay of game ? I can't think of another player in the past 20 years to react like that when ejected..

but GSW fans will keep pretending all this is perfectly normal. He should get 3 games minimum, one for the stomp and 2 for his antics afterwards.
