3 more rings and a couple more MVPs then we can start the conversation.

I got Oscar a lot higher than most people he was great on both sides of the ball jokic is great on offense but is the worst defender of any of the top centers they would score at will on him. And his offensive peak would rival those top players but not overall when you factor in defense. Now if he was a guard it wouldn’t be as big as a deal but he is a center he is lucky there isn’t a Wilt Dream Shaq or Kareem playing today

Only player your missing on that list is Kobe. But yea defensively he leaves a lot to be desired, similar to Curry. But i think becuase of his playmaking and overall basketball IQ he is one of the greatest floor raisers i have ever seen. His unique passing ability is like Bird. Without him on the court Denver doesnt sniff the playoffs. With him they have a shot at the finals. Offensively he really has few if any weaknesses. I would love to see him against Dream, Mourning, Ewing, or Shaq though like you said.

Dam ya forgot Kobe lol
He is before curry for me because of his defensive impact

Yep Kobe before Curry for me as well

according to a lot of y'alls logic, if a player gets drafted by utah or charlotte they're eliminated from the goat debate before they play a minute of nba basketball.

It's impossible, MJ is the GOAT of all sports all time and these discussions are pointless.

Why would it be impossible?? Isn't there at least an argument that the Jokers' last 4 years is as dominate, even if it is a different way, comparable to Jordan's?? Nothing wrong with saying unlikely perhaps, but to say Impossible sounds a bit closed minded.

Nothing is impossible but highly unlikely. He's 30 with just one ring. It's also unlikely he'll win it this year either.

Pretty much. It's not fair to the players or small market teams, but to be in the GOAT consideration, you need eyeballs on you - which requires a major market team. And, then you need competent ownership/management to build a winning team around you. Jokić could be the GOAT, but if the Nuggets get eliminated in the playoffs early, casual fans will view him as fellow Denver great Carmelo Anthony (nowhere near the GOAT, but underappreciated if you actually look at his career).

I'll shoot my shot now that Jokić is better than Dončić - but ten years from now, there will be at least four "Dončić > Jokić" posts on RealGM. Why? Because the Lakers have more eyes world-wide than the Nuggets.

If he wins another championship i think he is knocking on the door of the top 10 for sure. Goat? No not at all, but top 10? Yes for sure. His peak these last few years would rival anyones.
