Who are your top 10 all-time NBA greats? I'm trying to see who makes the list by consensus.

Is this an order?

All for different opinions but if it is, I can't think of any consistent criteria that would these accordingly.

Also one obvious name missing which makes any top 10 list without it clearly biased.

Even his biggest haters have him in there.

Pretty much in order.

I know Dream over Russell is not the usual opinion but Hakeem had very quick feet, he could steal the ball from guards.

I was tempted to put Magic over Jordan but you really could make a case for either of them at # 3 or even that they were the greatest.

I also don't think there is all that much separating Kobe from West for that # 10 spot.

You really can't teach seven feet tall and I think my rankings reflect my belief that this cheat code is unmatched when men are trying to put the ball through a net so high up.

Most rankings are overrating modern players.

I still challenge anyone with Curry on their list to tell me how he is any better that James Worthy.

I feel like BPM is probably the best stat to compare guys from the ‘80s to now. Especially guys like Curry and Worthy who are similar defenders. Ultimately, box stats will never be able to quantify the value of Steph’s off-ball movement but it’s a good start. Here are the top seasons for each:

Curry: 11.9, 9.9, 8.7, 7.7, 7.5
Worthy: 3.9, 3.8, 3.0, 2.6, 2.5

I guess the biggest differences between them would be that Steph is much better at shooting, scoring, passing, and moving off the ball.

We all know you’re just trolling though not putting LeBron in the top 10.

Jordan
LBJ
KAJ
Bird
Magic
Shaq
Russell
Wilt
Duncan
Kobe

Wouldn't be upset to see Hakeem and Curry in other people's lists.

1.
Abdul-Jabbar
Chamberlain
Duncan
James
Jordan
Russell

7.
Bird
Johnson
Olajuwon
Jokic

There are lots of candidates for those #7-10 slots. There are another half dozen or more who could easily replace any of those 4.

Lmao. From leaving LeBron off, to this comment. This has to be trolling. Pure comedy.

Was Worthy ever the best player on a championship team? According to you he arguably had the 2 greatest players of all time as teammates. Curry won a championship with Andrew Wiggins.

Championships, MVPs, all-NBA teams, all-star teams, stats, skills…everything is in Curry’s favor.

And no LeBron on the list is terrible. Lebron, Jordan, and Kareem are the 3 guys that should be on everyone’s list.

The ones who have to be on the list are Russell, Chamberlain, MJ, LeBron, Bird and Magic. After that there are 10-15 guys with a good claim to be top 10.

James Worthy won finals MVP over both Magic and Kareem so yes he was the best player on a championship team that year.

Didn't Iggy get the MCP over Curry?

Was Tony Parker better than Duncan? Was Cedric Maxwell better than Bird?

You can’t just use finals MVP, but Curry won finals MVP in 2022 as well. He also has 2 MVPs, and the highest Worthy ever finished in MVP voting was 12th.

This is just silly. It’s like saying I challenge someone to tell me how Wilt was better than Parker, Maxwell, and Iggy.

I hate these lists because it's just impossible to compare guys from vastly different eras.

1. Jordan
2. LeBron
3. Abdul-Jabbar
4. Magic
5. Russell
6. Wilt
7. Jokic
8. Duncan
9. Bird
10. Shaq / Kobe

Lebron vs Kevin Durant
Regular season: 24-19

So what? It all needs context. Bron faced Shaq in the playoffs too when he was with the Celtics.

For example the "bad record" vs Shaq is actually good, given when he started Cleveland was terrible and Shaq was still with LA and then with contenders Heat.
Lebron is 1-1 vs Shaq in the playoffs.

Since Dwayne Wade was mentioned in someones top 10.

LeBron James has a 16-15 winning record over Dwyane Wade.

Lebron has a losing record against most of the players mentioned in this thread. Spin it how you want.
