actually, imo for korver/redick, and duncan it's 100% because without that skill they'd be flipping burgers

My guy you said it yourself, "90% of the game is shooting". I threw you a bone by showcasing some of the premier shooters who will never see a max in their life (and then highlighted a handful of non-shooters who are staples and own maxes), but there are over 40 shooters shooting over 40% from 3 RIGHT NOW (hint: most don't see more than 20 mpg).

Just making sure you grasp that the unanimous MVP's game is not just about having a shot. Carry on lol.

What a model does in theory has little to do with it does in practice.

Check the correlation between team level RPM and RPM with win-lose record, then get back to me.

Pure RAPM in theory has the properties you think you understand. ESPN's layer of heavily weighted box-score based priors further confounds the intended purpose of RAPM.

Steph was top-3 in RAPM for 5 of the past 8 seasons, including #1 twice.
