It's very unlikely to happen, but It would be pretty funny if the Mavs win the chip this year with AD dominating and Kyrie playing out of his mind while Luka never gets back to his best for the Lakers due to health/weight issues.

That's the only scenario where the Adelson's and/or Harrison won't get lynched or have to flee the country (or to LA).

This is not the place, so I'll just say that if the Adelsons ever get lynched, it's very unlikely it will be for basketball reasons.

Yes, they're bums. They've been horribly run since Jerry Buss passed away and LeBron came to save them, now the Mavericks come to save them from themselves again. The Lakers haven't built anything themselves in years. Players and terribly ran teams save them time and time again.

That I could see. Luka is not Nico's guy, he inherited Luka, and Luka may not be the biggest Nico fan, either.

So it might be best for everyone to go his own way. Nico gets to build the team the way he wants and Luka gets a fresh start.

Shocked and disgusted. The new Las Vegas mobster owners of the Mavs made a deal with Silver to bring the hype back to the Lakers. Luka is now the face of the NBA, and he's about to not even need to complain about the refs anymore.

reminder this is not a trade, you go to all 29 teams and ask for best offers in trades, but here they just went to lakers and no other team so this is an offering...doncic was offered and given to la, not traded

the offering isn't about basketball or sports, its political, its good for america and america is above the nba and sports

The Luka/LeBron pairing is just boring. The Spurs or Nuggets could have beat the Lakers offer and we’d to get to see a Luka/Wemby or Luka/Jokic pairing.

That's most of all one of the least complementary pair of superstars you'll ever see in NBA though i'm still curious to see Luka playing with his idol and i'm sure LeBron (even more at his age) will do everything to make it work as he loves him as a player and will probably want play the mentor role.

At least, AD is very complimentary to Kyrie.

Though I knew Luka would one day come to Lakers as this franchise and this city both perfectly fit his personality, I never thought it would be so early and certainly not in a trade like this.

But anyway, the main issue with Luka is the way he treats his body and it feels obvious that Mavs organization probably thought he was a lost cause there sadly.
