I'm sure most people are watching other games (especially TOR/BOS), but JJJ is having himself a game.

23pts (9/14 and 1/1 from deep), 5reb, 4stl, 2blk and a full quarter of basketball left to play

I don't know that they ever really did. Because in this draft if they had been willing there absolutely would have been a taker. Dallas or Atlanta come immediately to mind.

From what I heard and read at that time, Memphis wanted a high pick in the draft plus a serviceable player for 4+Parsons. They asked the Mavs for 5+Barnes I think and wanted 7+more from Chicago. They were willing to use the pick to dump Parsons but also wanted much much more thus their asking price was never met and they kept JJJ. As a Grizz fan, we were all hella nervous about the above rumors being false and the FO moving 4+Parsons for Wiggins or something. :roll:

Trae is proving his doubters wrong and Doncic is proving to his supporters that they were right.

Literally the top 7 picks were all a hit, I love when the expectations pan out

Trae hasn't proven anything, hes had a couple great games, a few good ones and like 10 awful ones, hes an above average playmaker but his shooting/scoring has been abysmal

I’m not sure how many rookies were that clutch at the beginning of their careers. And that’s the difference if you come in Nba as Euroleague’s MVP or college kid.

As a Dallas fan and as someone who hated the last arrogant comments by Young I disagree with that statement. I think you can still see something really special in Young, I think it is

1) Not fair yet to judge his rookie year after so little games
2) Way too early in his career to asses anything

We ll see in the future, so far for me Trae has been pleasant to watch and I do see something really nice that can develop but whether it will or not we will see.

I am of course extra extra happy about Doncic and even though I had high expectations for him, he is kind of outpreforming even that. Really really happy!

His floater game is way better than it was last year. Last year in the clutch he would have relied on step back 3, now he slithers to the basket and makes that shot. Interestingly enough, it looks that its easier for him to get to the pain in the NBA, its either rules or wider court, but a lot of the doubters were dead wrong.

I think we pretty much expected this, I know I did, but I think you did as well. There is no question that there is a lot more space to work with in the NBA. It's the combination of the style of play/space and pace and the wider court.

He shot like 90% percentile on the floaters last year(synergy) , just didn't have the same space to used them.

I spent whole last year arguing about lack of his driving and shooting numbers and differences between Euroleague and Nba. People called me being many things.

And Luka is doing even much better than was my expectations. And most of the time he doesn’t even play in his best position. His ceiling is somewhere around 25/8/8 based on what we’re seeing at the moment.
