Raps have 8.

Warriors really need KD to make this series.

Don't get ahead of yourself. I think Toronto wins but even this iteration of the GSWs can win it if they catch fire.

Ibaka made gasol look like a superstar in comparison. My God his rotation, reaching, awareness was waaaay out of whack

I expect adjustments from Kerr, but Pascal looks like a match-up nightmare for GS and Draymond right now.

I wonder if Billups is right about GS needing Durant to win?

Way to go Toronto lol.

You needed Chauncy Billups to tell you GS needs Durant?

Dray with that triple double on 22% shooting.
It's time for 5 refs.

What's even scarier is that Steph and Klay both played around their averages (or in Klays case, above average for the postseason).

Without KD it's hard to see the Warriors winning a game. Kawhi is better than Steph, and even if the Warriors have the next few best players, the Raps are DEEP.

And even if KD comes back, the Raptors have the defense to make it a series.

  Ohhhh Finals hot-takes. You never fail.

It was a nice win for Toronto. If they win Game 2, they will have done their job. But I would be very surprised to see some of the crazy shots we saw from them duplicate themselves in game 2. I'll take Golden State game 2.

This was always going to be a series. This will never, ever be a Raptors sweep or Raptors in 5. With or without Durant. As far as Kawhi > Steph, I'm not seeing it.

I really don't know what to feel right now as a Raptors fan.

Never imagined this team would be in this position. Always seemed like a dream. These truly are the best of times. (or the worst of times if you're a fan of every other team )

Eh, MAYBE if Durant was coming back in game 2. Warriors are clearly a different team without him.

Warriors only lost by 9 on the road in “Game 1” of the Finals. Not worried neither impressed. Do this 3 more games Siakiam & the others than I will make a thread personally congratulating them.

Very good team win. Important to win game 2, since KD may very well suit up eventually.

Raps have been hitting crazy shots all playoffs. It's one of the reasons I think we win this.

Just one of those things you hear about teams that win it all. That they just couldn't be stopped that year and were on a mission. The storylines. The impossible shots being made. The defense and offense. The contributions from everyone.

It just all makes sense if the Raptors win.

not even close, these narratives will continue to pop up tho with every team the raptors go up against. THE RAPTORS DEFENSE IS BY FAR THE BEST IN THE LEAGUE. ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE. We take away your main options and make you beat us other ways, we can switch on anything except gasol who can hedge with the best of them and even then he usually gets a contested shot when iso'd on the perimeter.

They did? I had them winning the Finals since trading for Gasol. I think this is just one of those make up a narrative to feel like the underdog/motivate the fan base kind of post.

I still think it's true that the Raps will win, especially with no Durant and possibly no Iggy. I'm just hoping the Warriors win though because of the arrogant parts of your fan base, again, like Drake.

lol you're kidding right? you're one of the rare people that had the Raps winning the finals then.. most raps fans were happy with a finals appearance

Well then, people are stupid. I love the NBA and keep tabs on all teams. It's how I knew about Siakam a little after you guys did. It's how I realized how great the Raps would be when they traded for Gasol.

That's why you should watch every team you can and pay attention to everyone and not just the Sixers, Lakers, Knicks, and Warriors. Fans should expand outside of their bubbles.

It's just like how people didn't know how good the Magic were until we played you guys in the first round and how people slept on our defense and AG in particular. All they knew about the Magic was how good Vuc was and Gasol shut him down since he's the best defensive big in the game, so people will go back to underrating him next season because of that. Hell, Magic fans are already back to underrating Vuc because of Gasol's brilliance defensively.

Kawhi was mediocre tonight.. Lowry wasn't incredible either. It's game by game.

Seriously.

He'll take his 2 rings, his 2 finals MVPs, not enough praise and thanks and give a L to Kerr and Donkey.
