The lack of winning argument against Jokic is becoming irrelevant.

Nuggets are rolling.

They'll likely keep rolling.

Jokic is the MVP.

lol, in what universe is Nikola Jokic an afterthought? The absolute worst he's going to finish is 3rd.

Well in the mainstream media , just watch ESPN and FOX

NBA.com has him 2nd in their ranking. Zach Lowe had him as one of his top candidates alongside Embiid and LeBron. I'm sure there are more but I'm not going to waste time looking it all up. It's going to be Embiid, James, Jokic and Harden in some order. There are no other candidates, really.

It’s Lebron’s to loose at this point. Jokic is too far down in the standings, have a feeling Lebron will be backed by the media.

What a bunch of crap  Denver is only three games behind the Lakers , they are on the five game winning streak , the next five games they are playing at home, they could surpass Lakers in the standings in a week , you are acting like the season is already over  Jokic is playing better than Lebron this season, its not even close.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda, every major sports network will have Lebron leading the polls. He is winning MVP. Get over it.

They have the 4th easiest remaining schedule and just got Millsap and Dozier back. Theyre only missing Harris and Jamychal Green at this point and Jamychal has only been questionable altho Garys injury may be more serious. This is prolly the healthiest theyve been all season.

If LeBron wins MVP this season, it'll be as egregious, if not more, than any other wrongful winner.

But I have no doubt it's possible because of the manufacturing the powers to be have implemented for him.

Lol no. LeBron has lost the narrative push in recent weeks, there's not really any credible argument for him at this point. His numbers definitely aren't good enough, and the Lakers record isn't good enough to push him over the line for a lifetime achievement award.

Max Kellerman said today that Lebron was MVP, that was before Embiid went down, good luck.

Pretty unfortunate about Embiid but I really didn't want a guy employing load management to win it. Give it to Jokic or even Dame if you have to but not that. Also if he hadn't sat so many games he might still have had enough total games played to miss 2 weeks, come back and still be a strong candidate. As a regular season award durability is huge

Why is defense always used against Jokic. Dude is second in the league in steals and steals > blocks because you actually get the possession

First of all, Max Kellerman or Stephen A Smith are not voters. Thank god because they can't analyze anything.

Secondly, these guys were pushing lebron to be the MVP last year when it wasn't even close that Giannis was better in every statistical comparison. Let alone the team record.

This year LeBron isn't better than any of Embiid, Jokic, Giannis.
Guys like Harden, Lillard, Kawhi are also in the mix.
If the warriors and the mavs improve (highly possible) Curry and Doncic will be right there too.

LeBron isn't the favourite. Even in the unlucky scenario we lose Embiid for some time, Jokic is coming. The Nuggets have the easiest schedule than all top teams.
Giannis is again having a better season than LeBron.
Harden is having his best season in years, in terms of being exciting to watch (and not only breaking scoring records).
Curry's season is almost identical to 2016.
And so on.

Good luck to you, if you think that LeBron leads or that this is over.

We know basketball analysts don't watch basketball so LeBron getting MVP buzz among them isn't surprising but he's really not even in the conversation.

Ranking based on how the media assign it

Jokic
Lebron
Embiid
etc.

Real Ranking
Jokic
Embiid (destined to lose positions with this injury)
Giannis
Harden
lillard
lebron
leonard
curry
gobert (most of yall would put him higher probably)
and then various guys like donovan, kyrie, booker and cp3

They’re getting there but still a little way to go.

The team did get worse and lose the biggest home court advantage in the nba so it’s gonna be tough to do as well as last couple of seasons.

Joker is goating though.

He's right to an extent. Not about Lebron winning it but that voters are the media and are very prone to narrative bias

Yeah, but somehow the majority of voters always ends up voting for the deserving player, and the deserving player wins. Most of these people don't want to be labeled "corrupt" by voting for the undeserving media darlings.

We'll see if the push for Jokic gains traction in the coming days. If not he'll probably have to finish with a higher record to solidify it. The stuff about deserving candidate is subjective. They always go for the person with a higher record. Harden should have won it in 15 but they gave it to Curry for having the better record, in 2017 Harden had the better record but they decided to ditch their own criteria to give it to Westbrook as an 8th seed for averaging a triple double. Harden was my deserving candidate those two years. I however don't think Lebron is undeserving if the Lakers for example finish significantly higher in the standings (now very unlikely). That's just following the established criteria for 9 of the last 10 MVPs
