How about you think for a second why Campazzo was in awe even after the call was made, pleading his case for like half a minute? What would be his motive? I was shaking my head when the replay happened and Reggie didn't pay attention to who actually hit Booker in the eye, but it often happens with announcers. And yea, people just didn't pay attention so they're agreeing with you.

You’re really going to make me go back and record it just to prove you’re an idiot aren’t you?

I mean I really don't care, but I know what I saw. Could've been some weird angle that made me believe that was Rivers' arm while it was actually Campazzo's, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case.

Even if the intent wasnt there its a dangerous play and you got to set a precedent so players stop themselves before they do movements like that with their arms. If he caught him with his nails it could have even cause some blood.

It was careless and unnecessary.

The ejection was warranted.

Really shameful act from an MVP.

But not excessive. Leave it at flagrant 1. These refs clearly haven't seen excessive in recent years if they think that was it.

Embiid has to be loving this.

Suns are not some powerhouse where an MVP being swept is excusable… but alas Jokic will not get any real blowback

Jokic absolutely wasn’t trying to hurt Payne. You think he would risk his season on that bum? He was trying to get the refs attention by stopping the play but Payne’s stupid face got in the way. This was never about Payne but how pissed Jokic was at getting hosed by the refs time and time again.

NBA become so soft. The refs have too much power in todays game, like they can literally decide the outcome of the match.

FinnTheHuman wrote:He threw a punch and accidentally got almost all ball, according to you?

He wanted a hard foul (unnecessary contact), so it wasn't a basketball play, and he did hit him in the face (excessive contact), that's a definition of flagrant 2. I'm not suggesting he threw a punch, but don't pretend that it was a basketball play, there was no point in fouling Payne for other reason than showing his anger after no call.
Wargreymon wrote:Cam Payne's face looked the same and wasn't rearranged.

The definition of flagrant 2 says 'unnecessary and excessive contact', not 'contact with a face injury'. That was unnecessary and was excessive.

Sure, he could have broken his nose.

But... cmon. I've been smacked badly in the nose before and I didn't lie on the ground for 60 seconds holding my face. He acted like he blew his knee out.

Maybe just maybe don't do something as stupid as Jokic did and he will not have the opportunity.

Oh sure. It's just pathetic to watch it.

lol@ Nuggets players running up and appealing to the ref for a tech when CP3 slammed the ball into the court in frustration that they didn’t get a shot off within 24

It was a frustration foul by Jokic, but frustration isnt an excuse for clubbing someone across the face. In today's NBA, that is an ejection every time.

6er Fans are right, I believe. This would not have happened with Embiid playing with the Nuggets.

I understand Jokic though. The way the Refs choke on their whistles every time he gets whacked is a disgrace.

Bro Campazzo hit him he was just upset that it was called a second or two late

And if you don't really clamp down to maintain that precedent, you get "unwritten rules" like baseball and hockey where the leagues don't do nearly enough to reign things in, then the players take matters into their own hands because they don't feel protected, and you get bench-clearing brawls and garbage like the recent Rangers-Capitals game with half the players ending up in the penalty box for fighting over a flagrant cheap shot that didn't get a suspension. The NBA is going to do absolutely everything it can to avoid another Malice at the Palace, and rightfully so.

This would be a HORRIBLE look for Jokic if Denver somehow won this lol
