You said that the foul was warranted on Morris because "it had the effect of Love not being able to land, unintentional though it was". The key point, according to you, was "Love's landing space being impeded".

How can you not say Oladipo's landing space was impeded?

If Love didn't intentionally lean two feet to his right, Oladipo would never make contact with him.

So are you saying that it's okay to intentionally draw contact and impede a defender's landing spot, as long as it's with your entire body and not just your leg?

*sigh* they're two different fouls. Dipo got into Love's space as a shooter; Morris got into Love's space as a defender via specifically his foot. But more than/in addition to that, the Morris foul called by the refs was specifically because of Morris's leg out motion that connected with Love. Not so in the Dipo on Love case, so not comparable. It's not about the general space issue, but the specific motions that got called.

Dipo did not get "into Love's space as a shooter". It is very clear from the video and still photos that Dipo would have made zero contact with Love if Love had not moved two feet to the right.

You are moving the goal posts. First you said the foul was because Morris got into Love's landing spot. Now you say it is specifically because of the leg and the "motions".

Love got into Dipo's space as a defender more than Morris got into Love's space as a defender. And he did so intentionally.

I edited after you quoted, so please see above a couple of posts. I really don't know how else to explain other than the way I did post-edit that they're not the same calls, and it's more constructive to compare actual like calls.

It's not moving goal posts, it's cause and effect. The actual call the ref made was his foot kicking out - that resulted in Love falling. To whatever degree, the effect affected the ref calling the foul of the foot being out enough to get caught up in Love's feet.

I think LeBron will have a tougher time scoring at TD Garden. But let's say he and the Cavs do well enough to win game 5 like you said. Then, the Celtics roar back and take game 6 in Cleveland. Game 7 could go to either team, so will have to reassess to see how things are before that game.

Game 5 is a must win for the Celtics. If we lose that one, we'd lose in 6.

Did you see their road record? It’s horirble no way they’d win game 6 on the road

LeBron has won a road game in 30 of his last 31 playoff series (GS last year). Game 5 seems to be that game in this series but it won’t be easy. I see a real battle in that game.

More like Cavs in 6 or 7. Lebron isn't losing a game 7.

Has he ever won a game 7 on the road?

Especially that too for the ECFs?

Seems like the Celtics need to have a really good shooting night to win. There were a lot of missed looks tonight.

If George Hill keeps up this level of play in game 5, the series is over. Wonder why Calderon hasn't been playing though.

Games like 3 & 4 the Celtics really miss a guy like Kyrie who performs on the road and can go bucket-for-bucket with LeBron for stretches if need be. If and when this team is healthy it's going to be so special.

Celtics are playing with house money but they look so good doing it we tend to forget.

True, they missed a lot and a bunch of sloppy plays in the 4th. Watching us makes me think that we gonna get whooped in the Finals if we miss shots like we did last night. I see a very little chance either team gives the Warriors any trouble unless they shift it to a WHOLE nother gear, which doesn't seem likely.
