Jokic True Shooting % last night: 92.5%. :lol:

The guy took TWO shots in the first half and 10 overall and still scored 25 points.

Kinda frustrated me, this was like one of his games a couple years ago when he wasn't agressive enough looking for his shot. It's cool if your team is blowing the other team out but if the game is closer you gotta be more aggressive forcing the issue, thats one of the things i think Embiid does better.

I don’t see jokic getting past the 6th seed and I also don’t see the sixers being the number 1 seed in the cluttered east. Embiid will slow down cause he isn’t built to play 82 game seasons. That’s my take anyways, if sixers and Embiid don’t slow down, it’s his for the taking.

Giannis team IMO has been severely underwhelming this year tbh

I felt the same, but every time he kicked the ball out his teammate was draining a 3, so it was tough to argue with the results. Their bench played well too (gained some ground their starters lost initially). They just couldn’t put together stops. Tough loss.

i wonder if luka could be a darkhorse candidate if the mavs keep winning games and warriors record (as well as sixers and nuggets of course) gets worse

To be fair, Embiid also grades out incredibly well, just less obscene than Jokic lol.

Jokic has the excuses because of the Nuggets injuries but there is absolutely no way the league will give another MVP to a 4th-6th seed in b2b seasons. I doubt that either the Sixers or the Nuggets will end up with a top seed so it will be either Giannis, or Curry in the end unless one of the Suns duo or Butler goes insane in the second half of the season and end up with both the narrative and the 1st seed.

He could get to conversation like top 5, but too late to be a real darkhorse. It would require the Mavs to finish top 3, not likely with Porzingis and THJ still out.

It's not "an excuse".

“Jokic is second in the NBA in rebounding, and he’s also the best passer in the league. Denver has been thrashed by injuries, but it still plays like a historically dominant team (plus-12.8 points per 100) as long as Jokic is on the court; when he’s not, the Nuggets play like the worst team in NBA history (minus-15.2 per 100).”

He REACTS like an enforcer, lets not pretend like any of his "dirty" fouls didn't come right after an uncalled hack.

I don't call Giannis dirty because of that bush-league move he pulled on a jump shooter years ago...because he did it in REACTION to a dirty play.

Well, it's perfectly fine with me because it was a Morris brother.
In my eyes, Jokic should win the MVP for that alone.
