Actually he did. Tells more about him then everything else. Nice dude doesn’t care about getting his.

Jokic doesn’t care about ASG, he shot 5x
I posted this like two weeks ago, there’s a few players that will go all out to try to win ASG MVP (you can search my posts), Embiid, Curry , Young, LeBron, Giannis were in my list.
Jokic is there like Duncan, shoot a few shots and then let’s the guys who want to play play.
Yeah in terms of not giving af about these exhibitions, Jokic right up there with Jimmy. Whole thing with layup lines, no defense and rather low stakes probably feels weird for them.
ASGs are classic American shows - Euro don't really care for that. Nowitzki, Jokic - hells even Doncic who is younger
When you start playing with pros at 15 the games is just different to you.

The ASG is a joke, but let's not pretend like European sports aren't an exhibition match every other day.
In soccer, when Madrid is playing Levante or Alaves or Cadiz, they can literally dick around out there because these teams are full of guys from the local YMCA. Half the teams in a league can't afford actual professional players because European sports organizations have decreed that a salary cap and draft system to help small market teams are the work of Satan.

this is not at all true? half teams can't afford actual professional players? lol
also in Europe you have true rivalries and teams are more relevant than the individual players and their brand

It's absolutely true. The level of talent gets so dilluted near the bottom of the table that the matches between those teams and the billionnaire-owned top teams are unwatchable.

No you aren’t it was very competitive. If I remember correctly Kyle Lowry, Chris Paul, and Embiid were playing like it was the playoffs in the fourth quarter. I only had to see a couple sequences of this one to tune it out and watch Severance.
Clicked back on for a second to see Lilliard, Carmelo, Harden, and Westbrook honored for the 75th Anniversary Team, barfed up my dinner, and tuned out for good.

Agreed. I think it's the NHL or maybe the MLB that had the homecourt tied to who wins the allstar game that year.
We need something like that to bring some meaning back to it. Otherwise the guys can just get their nomination and we can use this week to space out the game a little more to reduce back to backs.
Rather watch a regular season game any day than this crap.
It shouldn't have to be tied to HCA....that would be yet another thing that just devalues the regular season. I'm watching All Star Games even from 2009 & 2010 and dudes actually gave effort and didn't have to be incentivized. These dudes are making more money but can't be bothered to actually give a damn about anything....not all star games, not being loyal to the franchises that pay them millions of dollars (Zion, Ben Simmons, James Harden, etc.) not the regular season...enough already.
This generation of NBA guys just do not love the game. Its going to be even worse when LeBron is retired.
You're right. I'm trying to fix a problem with bandaids but it's the player's hearts. They have none.
No pride in themselves or others. They're the manifestation of the AAU parasites that have fed off them since they were 6 and they're just out there to feed off others. The game has no meaning for them, nor idea of what it could mean to the less fortunate who follow it on a day in and day out basis.

I don't know how anyone can watch that All-Star game and not be embarrassed how little effort was played until the "4th quarter" and even still it wasn't that competitive. Teams scoring almost 100 in the 1st half....just take the weekend off if this is going to be the effort given the entire weekend.

I’m an unapologetic Jimmy Butler Fanatic, wasn’t surprised at all he could only muster a game-low 9 minutes, tied with Van Fleet. The fact that Van fleet wanted no parts of the game even as a historical selection tells you all you need to know about him as well. I know he could barely stomach all the pageantry and males draped in diamonds (how much second hand embarrassment can you feel for Allen Iverson?) No-nonsense players are unicorns in todays NBA.

The loudest ovation thing could also be because he wasn't expected to be there, he wasn't around all weekend. If LeBron had only shown up for that moment, I'm sure his ovation would have been louder too.
