Devin Booker is the same like James Harden in these game 6, 7’s.

People are wildin in this thread, acing like yall didn't watch the game.
Why are people going at Book, he had an incredible run, and his team was missing Paul and Ayton. You know the same excue we kind of give Jokic over the past two years?
KD tried to imitate Tatum in the 1st half, and unfortunately for them the Nugget's put on an offensive clinic in that time. That game was over within the first 7 minutes of the game, and outside of booker going nova nothing was going to get that Sun's team into the game.
Jokic just destroyed them from the tip, and everyone on Denver moves without the ball. The amount of layup they had in that first half was astonishing.
Also, huge shout out to KCP, that dude was ballin like he wanted another ring, and I respect that, and love to see it. People often don't understand what I mean by championship players, but the performances by KCP and Smart last night sum it up pretty nicely.

Still alarming to me how bloody AWFUL Durant's shot was the entire series - even on open, uncontested ones. Dude shot sub-40%.

He had a pretty epic postseason run it's just a shame the KD trade gutted the roster and the Suns had to try to play guys that frankly would never get minutes on another playoff team.
Shamet, D.Lee, Ross, Okogie even Cam Payne for most of this series just could not buy a bucket and since the Nuggets decided to crowd the middle and force the Suns to beat them from 3 there was no way KD and Book were going to have an easy time to score.
We needed some actual talent coming off the bench that aren't washed up or rejected players on a 2 way contract. You can't expect these scrubs to show up to an elimination game to perform it's just not in them and JJ expecting them to hit big shots or not shrink is totally unrealistic.
This roster is deeply flawed and has been for the past several years and until we get a GM nothing is going to change.
3.5/5 of the Sun's normal starters (Booker, KD, Paul, and Ayton) don't even look for attempts at the rim. They'd rather pull up from 8ft out. Sometimes those mid-range shots simply don't fall and you get results like this.
Oh, and I'm pretty sure every guy you listed actually has played playoff minutes on other teams. Just saying... Damion Lee even has a ring or two doesn't he? Every fan thinks their star's need better teammates when the truth is that they are just as good as the scrap Denver and most other teams (minus the Celtics) have on their bench.
Damion Lee didn't even play at all during the championship round because he struggled so much and you can't tell me you would swap your team's bench with ours and expect to have the same result. List any of those guys besides Lee that played a significant amount of minutes on a playoff team?
Truth is our bench is putrid and has been for quite some time.
reliability is the key. Denver played 3 guys from their bench and they have generally been consistent

Ayton wasn't there in game 6, not for the whole series. And Booker's best teammate was freakin Kevin Durant, not Aaron Gordon.

Congrats Nuggets!
Loved watching Jokic play methodically. Finding easy buckets for himself and his teammates is a thing of beauty. A lost art really.
This is the post-game thread and not really the most appropriate place to discuss this.... but not wanting to create a whole thread of this is the reason its in here. I need your help settling a debate if this was a travel or not, and could you please back it up with the reason. Thanks in advance.

In my eyes, at the 5 second mark, Jokic takes a dribble, hops with both feet. (right foot moves up by 6-12 inches)
Refer to this https://www.nbra.net/rules/traveling/
"A progressing player who jumps off one foot on the first step may land with both feet simultaneously for the second step. In this situation, the player may not pivot with either foot and if one or both feet leave the floor the ball must be released before either returns to the floor."
To me it seems like Jokic shouldn't get a pivot foot. Hence a travel

Yeah, I still don't like Booker but I have a new respect for his talent. He had a couple of amazing, unearthly games.
People are talking about Denver's offense but 125 is not really an insane point total. The offense was solid but it was really Denver's defense that should be the story. 10 steals, Booker and Durant had trouble getting to their spots, every shot was challenged (other than Payne getting some open looks), and the level of aggression took all of the wind out of Phoenix's sails. Apparently in the locker room afterward most of the talk was about defense. The Nuggets knew what they wanted to do and they did it.
Anyway it was a great series and Phoenix actually held up better than a lot of teams would have given the injuries and roster construction. So credit to them and let's see what the Nugs can do against the next opponent. It's too early to celebrate.

Was definitely a travel. He also gets away with moving screens every possession with hip bumps. He's an amazing player, but like many amazing players, he gets afforded a lot of leeway other players wouldn't receive.

While I am hoping the Heat somehow win it all as most of my friends here in Central Florida are Heat fans (because they are from Miami) even though as a Magic fan I hate them, Jokic winning a ring after getting shafted in the MVP race would be an amazing storyline.

The KD trade looks pretty terrible in retrospect.
Fantastic Jokic yet again, and the first half was a masterclass by the whole Denver team, they were unreal.
No CP3/DA and a healthy Nuggets team with a chip on their shoulder beat them the **** down.
You want to pin this on KD and others on Booker when Monty/Jones can't build a proper roster.

yeah, I agree on the defense. Denver's two-way ability should put them at an advantage against every other team left going forward.

I'm not a referee but the big question here is when he gathered the ball by NBA rules. If he gathered the ball, made first step, and landed on both feet it is a travel. I think he gathered the ball in the air, landing on both feet simultaneously, so it wasn't step+second step.
As far as what he get's away, yes he gets away with moving screens with hip bumps. On the other hand you can see on his arms all the scarves from garbing and holding, and that is the way how they allow defenders to guard him. What stands the most is that you can make a case he gets bumped or pushed any time he shoots (with forearm, and often times simple push with hand which should be foul all the time). But those shooting fouls get called 10% of times.
